Hi Jim, thanks for the report, I will do those flights and see if I can reproduce your issue! Is there a chance that the wind was fluctuating on your descent? Did it look like the plane was chasing the value it was supposed to keep (i.e. the vertical speed) or did it stray from the set value by it´s own (inappropriate) inputs? Thanks again, Jan

The ones that ring an alarm bell in my head are SAM, XJet, Marginal Ground traffic. Also your VTBD scenery is creating tons of errors.
-
Yes, PM is woefully undocumented, but it is not a feature that gets the same exposure as X-Plane itself. It is considered to be a tool for experts that follow along with what is new and changed...not something that a total layman jumps into. I think I know my way around aircraft pretty good, but it has me scratching my head all the time, too.

You cant use the plane if you failed the Level-2 check. You have to wait until a fix is available.
-
You are suffering from the Level-2 check failed syndrome. We are working on a fix, stay tuned for further news (hopefully soon!).
-
You are running numerous plugins that are known to be problematic - I think you will keep getting crashes unless you remove them.
-
You could try to download it somewhere else - maybe take your laptop to somewhere they have WLAN or maybe go online with your phone or such?

Some initial observation on flight dynamics, mostly good!

Please do so - it is what I have used to tune performance ;-) I agree on the ground effect thing - it does strike us seemingly more than the default 737-800, might be a geometry thing. If I make the nose more "heavy" on rotation you would be unable to pull it past 10 degrees until out of the ground effect - the landings one can get used to, but you need to be ready for the nose wanting to drop (more than on the real aircraft). I might take this up with Austin, but got him busy on the N2 acceleration during engine start for now ;-) Try taxiing again on a verifiably flat area - I find that even a bit of slope plays a huge role. The 737 starts rolling on my side at idle power up to 50 tons of weight, as it should. Cheers, Jan -
Yeah, I found out this morning, too! I already added it to the "Known issues" list (in the "IXEG Confirmed" subforum). Not sure why that is, but Tom will have it fixed really quick...

Yes, you are - I heard that 99% of all people that did not get an email have unsubscribed from getting emails from X-Aviation, in that case you will have to file a support ticket to trigger sending of the email. Cheers, Jan

We know this situation is very unpleasant for those suffering from it - and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. I don´t know when a fix will be ready, unfortunately (I personally don´t even understand those things that cause it, internet protocols and such... I am just a dumb airline pilot

Hi Rob, I once had a similar problem - it turned out that my computer was plugged into a router that was plugged into another router which was then connected to my DSL. Once I plugged my computer directly into the "first" router, the download worked.

You are also suffering from the Level 2 check fail problem: 0:16:34.497 G64: debug: IXEG: Level-1 license check good. Can you post your log.txt here, please?
-
Yeah, we didn´t touch it...yet ;-)
-
Interesting - first time I heard about this problem. Make sure that you have selected the "Engines running" checkbox in the X-Plane aircraft selection GUI for the IXEG 737. Which plane are you changing to before going back to the IXEG?

Couple of findings (Window Heat, Cabin Lights, RWY Turnoff Lights)
Litjan replied to joni80's topic in Bug Reports
All good findings, @joni80! I have added them to our bug tracker. The window heat thing is definitely reversed. The turnoff lights are asymmetrical, we will probably remove the second source on the left. For the cabin lighting I am not sure, there are more options available on the panel at 1L than just "off and on", so if a user sets the lights to "dim", what should the state of the "cabin crew" GUI checkbox be? It isn´t really "fully on", but it isn´t "off", either. However, if a lighting system is completely off, the checkbox should probably reflect that, same for fully on. We will see how to handle this. Thanks for the report again! -
Yeah, so resolution and FOV has no influence on this. I wonder if it could be some other plugin or third-party content that could influence the OpenGl drawing. The next step would be to run a vanilla (no other 3rd party content) version of X-Plane with ONLY the IXEG installed, however @stirlin.g reported seeing this on a clean installation. Maybe you guys can post your log.txt files here so I can see if we have a common denominator somewhere?

And yet it is in your log :-( 0:06:33.934 G64: debug: IXEG: Level-1 license check good. Thanks for reporting those - I will take a look and add them to our list! -
Hi JIm, what kind of porpoising did you see? What were the conditions? Real weather, speeds, weight, CG? If you could post a picture (or a series) of the instrument panel of when it happens, that would be great, a video would be even better!. We had to retune the PID values for most of the autopilot and there may be some fringe cases when the dampening doesnt work as it should, so I would be very interested to understand (and fix) your problem. Cheers, Jan

IXEG 737 Classic for X-Plane 12 Announcement
Litjan replied to Cameron's topic in General Discussion
I can not predict how fast we will be able to implement HOLD and offset, but HOLD and PROG page are very high on the priority list. You can - however - fly all procedures without those functions, you can use the FIX page to put in the holding fix and paint in the radials and then just use HDG SEL and the stopwatch to fly holdings. You can also fly all profiles in selected modes like vertical speed or FL Change and adhere to profile descents that way just fine. No idea about better pushback, sorry. All the best, Jan
