FYI. As an Australian I have to suffer through some of the shittiest most expensive Internet access on the planet. My personal connection is about as bad as it gets. I get about 340kb / second download speed. I get very frequent TCP peer resets on all sorts of big domain names. I own multiple Cell Network dongles of both 3G and 4G varieities and a full collection of high-db-gain antennas to suit them. I have no sympathy at all for the last mile. If you had a web proxy there is a way to tell Gizmo how to use that if it's not automatically. You don't. You have a special custom connection to the Internet that is 100% your problem to fix. Good luck.

Thank you. I'm truly sorry that you're not able to just enjoy your stuff. I've spent the last few weeks rebuilding DRM to make it more secure. This is a "waste" of time for all of us. Hopefully for XMas I can upgrade everyone to self-managed machines...

There is a re-activation process and for about 99% of people it works fine. Machine ID's that are not in active use expire after six months. You are granted three machine ID's for use when you make a purchase. If you somehow chew through three machine ID's in the space of six months then you are part of the 1% of the user base that has troubles. A disturbingly large % of this 1% of users is often found to be sharing amongst friends. For this reason a manual review process is in place for those that have exceptional use cases. WIthout this manual review we would suffer such ridiculous piracy that we'd probably not be in business. WIthout more money I can't upgrade the systems. Very rarely we are hit with something like the Win10 Anniversary Update or MacOS Sierra. There are plenty of ways to stability test a new OS install. Activating all my favorite small-shop software that has unique requirements isn't one of them. I'm just the developer.

Please show me one for X-Plane that has something better. This is an incredibly small market relative to even flappy bird.

Strange.... You seem to have a normal looking MachineID being generated. Investigating.

Please attach log files and a screenshot of the activator when it's asking for username and password. (At the bottom of that dialog screen is a text field that should contain your machine ID... it's also in the Log)

Does your internet connection use a Proxy or anything special?

This is the re-activation timer. The idea being that if you have some important demo or sim time (streaming, etc) coming up you can check to see when the next activation check is required and re-activate BEFORE you get an automatic popup saying the product needs activation.,

As a "sales guy" I'm certain you have had days where "that customer" comes in. Pissed off and angry right from the word go for no real reason except that they want to complain. My post was to point out that I DO NOT have mountains of money. Your rant does not even deserve to be addressed. You have no idea how tempting it is to say "fuck it" and walk away every time an idiot likes you comes in hurling abuse.

So basically facts and actual customer service has no bearing on the issue at hand. You just want to keep complaining? You got an answer. A very specific one. From the only person who can solve the issue. Your response is to post a screenshot of your system settings asking if your screenshot is "real". Exactly what do you expect us to do? You're ignoring answers and continuing to push for an answer that you want to hear.

Clearly you missed this politely worded reply from Frank which is basically exactly what you wish for.; A respectful timely answer that they're not sure what's going on, that they HAVE investigated it and that they WILL CONTINUE to monitor it.

RAR is not supported. Sorry. Use a zip. (If I was to support every single submission type ever nothing would get done. RAR died in the 90s with bandwidth concerns.)

X-Plane has a shared pool of ram for all Lua plugins. About 1gig. Google for more. GC is mark and sweep and already causes us plenty of FPS glitcing. Modifying LuaJIT is 100% Out. Correct. I don't use DRT though so it's only a suggestion. But why Gizmo? Because Gizmo is the scripting engine underneath the IXEG scripts. DRT -> X-Plane -> Gizmo -> IXEG systems. The typical mode of failure from third party plugins is a stack overflow in Gizmo's Lua scripts. This happens for various avoidable technical reasons, the important thing to me is that X-Plane works.
