  1. I typically don't respond to "Is it done yet" conversations but I think I will give my opinion on this one. I think we will all know the project is near complete when the team starts talking about code freezes. When a project has entered that phase of development, that means new features are no longer being added. Based on the what Tom has said they are still writing code, which means that any changes that are made will need to be tested. It sounds to me that the project is late Alpha or early Beta. Giving the complexity of these type of addons, there's probably a lot of testing that needs to be done. Specifically if changes are still being made. Believe me, I want to fly this plane just as much as everyone else, but realistically if they are still coding features, we should not expect release of this plane anytime soon. I understand the importance of building hype for release of a product, but hype and realistic project deadlines are typically never in sync. Just look at the CRJ from Aerosoft as example. I remember last year in the CRJ threads on Aerosoft's forums they advertised a release of that project in Spring 2015. A year later and it's still not released with no foreseeable release candidate. I check this forum everyday for new information, but I have no expectations of an immanent release until I start seeing words such as "code freeze" or release candidate start to be used. I have no idea what kind of progress the team has made, but my predication for release is probably late 3rd or maybe early 4th quarter this year.
  2. Insane! Watch how many copies of X-Plane 10 this simulation is going to sell.
  3. Too bad MMMX from Taxi2Gate is no longer coming to X-Plane. That was one of my favorite locations in FSX. It would have looked awesome on XPX.
  4. Will atmospheric haze be in the future update to SkyMaxPro? I know there's a plug-in avaliable, but I don't want to use it because I like the default lights and water settings. I only want the haze effects. I think that would be a cool future add-on. Nice screen also! Looking forward to this add-on.
  5. Thanks for the continued updates. It's very much appreciated for those of us that are waiting with anticipation.
  6. Ha you can't fault me for trying to get a new video of this masterpiece The hat? My friend we seriously need to get you upgraded to the track clip for Track IR. Soooo.. much more easier to deal with. Natural Point had some issues in the begining with them being flemsy, but as of last years batch they fixed the issue making them 100x times more sturdy. Yes you can actually drop them now without it breaking. None the less you guys are doing an awesome job with this project. I will continue to hold short of the runway in anticipation of the next video.
  7. Hello Jan In this video you said that you're using Track IR. The way the camera was kind of floaty leads me to believe that you were using Track IR with default X-Plane camera. In the video notice how floaty your Track IR camera was using the default X-Plane settings. This floaty look is not realistic and degrades the immersion. Now try that same video, but this time use X-Camera with Track IR and you will notice a big difference in how your Track IR performers. Also you can set position limits so the camera does not move outside the flight deck. You're not limited to the 9 or so camera presets. X-Camera is my number one add on favorite. Give stick and rudder's X-Camera a try, I believe it's still donation ware for the latest version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58EAQ7WIgkw
  8. Default X-Plane's view system is not vey good with TrackIR. One example is not having the ablity to set boundries in the flightdeck. Nothing is worse than using X-Plane's default view system with TrackIR only to have the camera move outside the flighdeck when you go beound the boundries of the model's frame. X-Plane's camera system is okay, but I would assume that the majority of us that use TrackIR are propbably also using XCamera, as it produces the absolute best expierence when using TrackIR. XCamera also manages tracked head movements 1000x better than the default camera system.
  9. Jan is that Headshake in the video or is that functionality built into the simulation. If it is Headshake, do you care to share your settings?
  10. Ok let me go grab my popcorn.
  11. That's incrediable! Just wow, you sir are truely building a game changer. I have very high hopes for this scenery. Looking forward to seeing some screens of your ground textures. Good ground textures are extremely important. That can make or break a scenery. If the ground textures will be anything like the buildings you've posted so far, this will be a definite game changer for X-Plane 10.
  12. I've been keeping a close on eye this one since I first caught wind of it. If the final product ends up like any of the screen shots, this potentially could be even better then FlyTampa's work, The quality of the texture's are unlike anything I've seen in X-Plane so far. I knew it was only a matter of time before the developers started to unlock what this platform was truly capable of doing.
  13. Any new updates on this project? This one is on my most anticipated list of items in flight simulation.
  14. Rotate's MD80. I've been loving this aircraft since its release. I read somewhere that it crashed the store's servers. IXEG's 737 is going to set day one records in the X-Plane community. I hope X-Aviation's servers are ready to get slammed when the 737 is released. It sure feels good to be an X-Plane supporter at this time. This platform is about to go ballistic. Hopefully KDTW from attitude is not to far off. That looks like another game changer for these two masterpieces.
  15. Feature creep can cause unnecessary delays in software development. IXEG is taking the right approach here. It appears that the project is at a stage where they are no longer adding new features, but are instead focused on refining all the items that will make it into release. Getting version 1.0 out and into the hands of customer is an important step. All the non critical parts can be added in subsequent version of the software.
  16. I think with the release of this project, it will do for X-Plane 10 what PMDG did for FSX. This is going to be a real game changer for XPX.
  17. Wow that looks incrediable! I'm very happy to see a quality developer finally bringing some quality sceneries to Michigan. It would appear to me that you've found a way to raise the bar to another level in X-Plane 10 scenery development. Well done sir.
  18. Not local to Detroit, but I know that area well having traveled out of that airport many times. Now if we can somehow persuade you to do KFNT next. The architecture of that airport is one of the nicest in Michigan in my opinion.
  19. That looks real. I could easily mistake that for an actual photo of the Delta hanger, snaped by someone standing on the opposite side of I-94 East at night. You captured the look of that hanger 100%. This scenery is shaping up to be very interesting.
  20. Congratulations to the IXEG team for reaching this stage in development. As you probably can now see some light at the end of the tunnel, I predict that this project will be very well received by the X-Plane community. As a long time simmer, I remember another well known FS developement company that released a very popular boeing aircraft several years ago, which was also well received by the flight simulation community however they never followed up with anything new, and slowely faded into obscurity. I'm hoping that the release of this project will bring even more user over to X-Plane 10. My question is after release of the 737 classic, do you have any plans to work on anything new? Will you continue development for the X-Plane plateform if you do decide to do another project? Sorry if these questions have been already asked and answered.
  21. This looks awesome! That Delta hanger is very accurate.
