  1. Downloadable from two places, but both are the same glider.
  2. Famous last words
  3. I thought the L-410 was still under development? Where did you get this model?
  4. I agree with eaglewing, an autopilot wouldn't be out of place next to a G430. An S-Tec wing-leveler with annunciator lights for manual pitch trim would probably be appropriate. Even something with altitude hold and heading/nav functions would be welcome.
  5. Needs more dirt!
  6. At least someone still flies (or crashes) those pretty delta-winged Mirages. EDIT: Actually, I believe those are some variant of the Israeli Kfir given the little "scoop" ahead of the vertical stabilizer.
  7. A breakable payware aircraft is a great idea! You could charge people a few dollars if the blow an engine to repair it, or if they total it they could buy it again In all seriousness though, I am eagerly looking forward to this release.
  8. Pics or it didn't happen. +1, I watched it last night. Very inspiring.
  9. The T-34C does not use panel regions for instruments as they are all 3D. The only way to add or remove certain components is to be proficient in 3D design software (Blender or AC3D with the appropriate X-Plane plugins) or contact the author about a custom cockpit.
  10. If I ever spend the time flying for 10 hours straight in X-Plane, it'll be in something with old navigation. Letting an FMS do most of the flying for more than a couple of hours is boring (unless there's ATC online). One day I'll have to try it in the B-17.
  11. Yeah, for whatever reason the Cessna's both have mostly 2D instruments.
  12. Hopefully you will have an option for a low-poly cabin, one that looks presentable from the exterior through windows but doesn't need to be detailed to walk around inside.
  13. Not only will this save money and countless backs, I have to imagine being able to search a specific term may even reduce the time needed to bring up specific sections of a manual or procedure checklists. Couple in it's own light source, and having an iPad in place of paper could potentially save lives in an emergency.
  14. Yeah the BK is a marvel of X-Plane design. Probably the only helicopter I can stomach flying with a 3 axis joystick.
  15. You could always downgrade back to Snow Leopard, assuming you still have the install/restore discs for it.
  16. Aw, I miss that guy. My bookshelf is packed with many of his novels.
  17. The walkaround feature is more or less part of the pre-flight prep in which you remove pitot/static and engine covers. I didn't think I'd still like doing it after the first few flights, but there is something fun about walking around and seeing the details of the aircraft and livery you are going to fly. And all in all, it takes maybe 10 seconds if you just want to rush through it and get back to the cockpit.
  18. Not yet, but while testing with Denis he informed me he was aiming to ensure complete compatibility.
  19. Lovely model. I have an idea of who this mystery modeler might be, I'll be waiting to find out if I'm right.
  20. I remember seeing a posts in the shoutbox a few weeks ago by someone who claimed they were running a Release Candidate or Gold Master of it (Not sure which) and X-Plane worked fine with it.
  21. This link gets visits from me often, its a great resource.
  22. The cockpit is pretty much complete, with only a few parts left to map and then texture. Here's a quick render I did while verifying the geometry last night. (Missing buttons above the displays was a flub on my part). Between Derek and I, we haven't had a whole lot of time to work on the CRJ because end-of-semester schoolwork has been unexpectedly eating more of our time than expected, though a release date shouldn't be too far off.
  23. Couldn't agree more. It had a very short production run, with a small number of airlines operating it. I do think it is an amazing aircraft, and all safety problems aside it was a technological marvel of aviation. Simulating the analog fly-by-wire and other advanced systems of the era wouldn't be impossible, but I think other more widely operated aircraft that are missing from the X-Plane market deserve more development attention.
