  1. That alone might make it worth the $5. ;D
  2. So we've all seen the A380 tailcam videos... but how about the same view from an Apache? Looks much prettier if you ask me: Bummer that the music was put on over the engine noise. :-[
  3. Indi's real world analogy is absolutely correct. The issue here as i see it is simply that we're not used to having to go though this process (something lost or deleted) when that thing digital, rather than something you can actually hold. Does X-Aviation have a "warranty" page or something similar outlining the lost item procedure, that can be seen before the product is bought? And/or a recommendation to back up your purchases to avoid cases like this where the $5 cost much be paid? You guys are blazing a new trail here, and while it may seem common sense to back up your hard drive, some people just don't understand the potential consequence until it happens to them.
  4. You also have to realize that aircraft development takes much longer to get to today's "standards" than it did even a year ago. The payware of 4 years ago is stuff some people wouldn't even consider downloading now as freeware. It's interesting to think about when/if we will hit a wall in that development...
  5. Typing this from my new iPhone- Merry Christmas from Alaska everyone!
  6. Wonderful to hear that he's been working on the flight model. Always liked his DC-10/MD-11.
  7. How many people on this forum willingly choose to fly the "crap" ones on a day to day basis? My interpretation of the situation is that most people (on this forum at least) are still stuck flying very few numbers of planes. Not many obviously, but people come here for the high-quality payware aircraft, not a large collection of free downloads. Some people have a life where they can get away with donating hundreds, if not thousands of hours of time to a community. Others need the money to pay rent or support their family, and some do it as a business with the sole purpose of making money, though there are very few, if any, of these in X-Plane. I like to think that all designers enjoy what they do, some just need the money to compensate for their time. Never seen a payware plane without a panel. I'm sticked to only few, but top class aircraft and I really prefer it that way I can't fly them all at the same time, anyway. And memorising too many super detailed POHs is sometimes troublesome. For me it's a quality over quantity for sure. Personal differences here obviously, I'm quantity over quality (to an extent, of course). I'd rather have the full 737 series in a XPFW-like quality than just the 738 or the 733 to the extent that we have, or will have them.
  8. Right around -12c this morning– has been for the last week and I don't see any end to it. But at least it's sunny.
  9. Any author should have the right to attempt to sell his/her work, no matter it's quality, at any price. It's very simple, if you don't like the quality of someone's work, don't buy it. Frankly I'm happy to have a large number of available aircraft that have great flight models (maybe you don't understand this as a MSFS user?) and a panel layout which matches that of the plane. If all the aircraft we had available were those few that are of the quality you outline, I'd be stuck flying a very few number of planes.
  10. Southeast Alaska; only the most beautiful place in the world: ;D Sadly I realize the aerial imagery you guys use is expensive and generally only taken (from what I understand) of places where it would be the most useful, not the best looking in a flight simulator...
  11. Wow, I'd give an arm and a leg to have this kind of stuff for my local area. Stunning...
  12. Juneau. ;D
  13. I just use the arrow keys on my PC, it sucks but I simply don't have the space where I am now. I do, however, have a Logitech Driving Force Pro hooked up to the PS2- I strongly recommend buying one. It completely changed the experience for me, and I actually work up a sweat doing those endurance races (or on a lap around Nurburgring- I'm not sure which is harder). The Sprinter Trueno was my first car in GT3, by the way. I think I may have to pull it out again, just for nostalgia's sake. ;D
  14. We obviously find fun in different ways... When you have everything complete in GT4 except for that darned last mission around Nurburgring, enjoyment comes in being the best you can be, which means, to me, running laps around Infineon for 3 hours and ending up with a world-record time. That said: As far as PC racers go, I am absolutely loving BMW M3 Challenge. Although by default you can only race the BMW M3 on one track, this site this loads of track downloads that you can add to the game. This is the only game I've seen Bathurst on, and with both of you being Australian (I believe) I think you may want to give it a try. It's a very, very fun track.
  15. Post some GT3 or GT4 time and I'll challenge them, don't own GT5 yet sadly. I'll post some of my top times from GT4 (using the F1 car) later.

    Project 3

Currently this is the A version. B version is set to be in the works sometime, though no price plan is set. Assuming we cram in the features we plan to for the B, and re-do the model as necessary, the B version will be its own product. Good to know, looks like I'll be waiting.

    Project 3

Just remembered: what's the plan as far as the A and B versions? Is this the A version we're seeing now and the B version will come as an additional-cost upgrade?

Second this. 6th largest Saab 340 operator, would be real nice to have them.
  19. That took forever. Get it here: http://forums.xplanefreeware.net/topic/9810-b777-300er-v-australia/
  20. Get out Simon! Been waiting for GT5 for ages and I still don't have a PS3 and don't see one in my future. Keep us updated on your progress. I'm quite content with GT4 for the time being considering GT5's lack of either Infenion track, which I held world record times at for a year or so around 2008. Really hope to see some new tracks released in the future.
  21. Payware I assume? Who all is on the team?

    GPS Question

You can only use the identifier. Either type the name into the location selector to get the code or Google for it.
  23. I think that's how it has always worked. ;D
  24. Mixture and propeller levers work fine when set to control throttle? If so, then I'd be almost certain that it's an issue with the quadrant. As Steven asked, how old is it?
  25. Does this happen to all aircraft? Try assigning throttle to either the mixture or pitch levers and see if the issue still occurs.
