[SOLVED] Aircraft is not available in XP menu
mraviator replied to mraviator's topic in Technical Support
Thanks! Indeed, it's in other.... -
I just purchased the aircraft, but it's not an option in the XP 11 aircraft menu, even when I filter to Hotstart studio.
-
I just updated to the latest (1.1.18) after some time of not flying. I don't see throttle friction control on the pedestal anymore. Gone for good, or just moved?
-
Scratch that, operator error...

No pun intended on the title :-) In the last two days, I've been getting a hot start on every engine start, making the aircraft unusable. I'm not sure what's going on as I use the exact same procedure I've used for dozens of flights previously (not new to this aircraft). Strangely, nothing has changed (using 11.30r2), neither on x-plane side nor on the TBM side (it worked fine for a few slights after 1.1.3 update). No odd indication i the log file either. Just curious of others are experiencing similar?

On the attached screenshot, is the blue circle on the MFD an engine out glide range ring? If so, it's incorrect with the given wind, as the wind component is visible on the PDF and a longer glide range should occur to the 10 o'clock direction on the MFD. bu tit's possible I'm misunderstanding what that ring is.

Props to the devs, that was quick. Nice job, the community appreciates it!

Also affected by this. Curious how notification of available update is done. Here in the forum or more automatically? Thanks.

I think my console popup issue is due to an incorrect install. Unfortunately my x-aviation download link has expired. I requested to renew the link so I can download a proper install, but am on day 3 or 4, waiting to hear back to make that happen :-( -

How is everyone getting IXEG 737 to work in XP 11? Everytime I flip a switch, the debug console pops up and tells me there a sound error, as if it's not finding the sounds file to play. Do I need to install Lua to make this work? -
I realize betas are not supported. But I'm reading that people are succesful flying the Classic, yet I am getting console window popup with every switch flipped, making it unflyable. Any advice?

What are the current side effects/issues with the Classic? I haven't loaded the Classic since beta 1 or 2. FPS drop on beta 5 does suck... -
After many great flights, this morning, once the FMS went through its initialization time and the artificial horizon appeared, it appeared "tumbled", i.e. rolled about 45 degrees and with a slight nose down pitch. While sitting at the gate. I did not know how to cage it (if even possible), so I aborted. Is this a built-in failure mode or a failure in FMS init?
-
I'm surprised my simple question caused so much discussion... I understand the desire to preserve realism as much as the need to quickly align. By the time engines are running and FMS is programmed, I typically wait another 1-2 minutes. Good time to fetch a beer. :-)
-
Maybe I missed it, but is there a way to bypass waiting for POS INIT when initializing position?
-
HerrSchwarz, your are assuming I did not report any bugs. Ich sehe, Sie sind ein leidenschaftlicher Flugsimfan. Finde ich echt gut und respektiere ich auch. Gruss.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure what all the community belly aching is about. In my mind, this was a great 1.0 launch and even better 1.01 quick-turnaround. I've flown this aircraft for over 25 hours now, have also run into the occasional FMS hiccup (but not since 1.01) and maybe a little weight input difficulties. But, seriously, this is one nicely modeled aircraft. I had zero issues getting up and running with this aircraft (I've been doing this too long...), so the lack of proper documentation is a non-issue to me as the flow is very similar to the 727 or 757/767 (if you get right down to it...). I'm always interested in runway and climb/cruise/descent performance versus real-world aircraft and found some online sources against which I checked. I think the team has nailed that one as well, which pleases me to no end. Ignore the whiners, there are always some. This is a great aircraft, no matter how you slice it.

IXEG 737 Progress Update - December 12th FMS VNAV
mraviator replied to tkyler's topic in General Discussion
Greetings from just up the road in KAUS! I just learned about this project and am truly amazed and excited for its release. It's one of those cases where I can't wait to hand my money over. :-) I did not find any info on where nav data will be sourced from for updates. Navigraph? Somewhere else? Thanks! -
Not sure under which rock I've been hiding, but I just now learned about this project... After looking at the pictures and videos, I'm very much looking forward to this aircraft. Accurate flight model is a must for me (I'm an aircraft performance engineer), so reading this is music to my ears! I can't wait to check the flight data (yes, it's the first thing I do with every new payware I buy, check the sim flight data against AFM/POH values...).
