If any member of the team wishes to divulge that they are more than welcome to do so at their own personal discretion. Considering tail numbers link to the FAA registry and can divulge personal information and addresses on an individual, it will not be coming from me.

I can certainly understand how that process would be intriguing, but as small as the development team is the time is much better spent on development and not creating/editing videos. Hopefully you'll find the SR22 as entertaining as you desire should you choose to purchase!

You can certainly lower cloud draw distance, but at the end of the day, expecting addons to have little or no cost is silly. Theoretically Vulkan should have given you some extra FPS anyhow. Obsessing over these numbers may be a bit overkill, as the values are really meant for developers to look at things to optimize if possible. To each their own though!

Try moving your cursor to the right side of the screen. A menu bar will pop out with various icons. Click on the icon that looks like a key, and then in the window that pops up after that press the 'update' button.

This error just means you already have vcredist installed. Everything installed fine. Real Weather Connector is controlled through the SkyMaxx Pro plugins menu.

X-Plane 11.50 Beta on there MAC/SkyMaxx Pro 4.91

SkyMaxx Pro is compatible with 11.5, but only in OpenGL mode. Unfortunately, Metal support will not be coming due to limitations out of our and even Laminar's control. -
SkyMaxx Pro v4.9.1 has been released and includes experimental support for Vulkan. Mac users may still enjoy the latest update while using OpenGL. This update is free for all current v4 users of SkyMaxx, and includes numerous optimizations for better performance. You can find more information about v4.9.1 in the release notes in this forum. -

That makes absolutely ZERO sense. Gizmo is already installed by the point of installation your install is failing. It has nothing to do with Gizmo at all.

X-Plane controls plugins being on or off. If you feel there's a problem you should contact Laminar with a bug report.

You need to re download the installer.

Re-install SkyMaxx Pro v4.9.0 by re-downloading the installer, then try RWC again.

Rain effects do not work because they use custom 3D rendering not supported in Vulkan. The AoA indicator is also a victim of this.

I'm assuming this is happening after you get through some of the installer screens? Sounds like you have updated to Catalina after already having SkyMaxx Pro installed, which means your uninstaller is from old architecture. In this situation you will need to take the following steps: 1. Go to X-Plane/X-Aviation folder and delete the following file: Uninstall SkyMaxx Pro 2. Go to X-Plane/resources/plugins and delete the following folder: Silverlining 3. Re-run the v4.9.0 installer

Laminar Research, creator of the X-Plane flight simulator franchise, is proud to announce the long-awaited Vulkan/Metal update of its flagship desktop simulation product, X-Plane 11.50 Beta Laminar normally does not publish press releases for beta versions of X-Plane, but the Vulkan release is so important to the X-Plane 11 roadmap that we decided to publicly announce it before the final-release version is available. Vulkan (PC) and Metal (Mac) are rendering level APIs that change how X-Plane interacts with the graphics card. They are faster than OpenGL that X-Plane has used in the past. Overall, most users will see improved frame rates and reduced stutters when using Vulkan or Metal. In X-Plane 11.50 Beta, there is a check-box in the rendering settings that enables Vulkan or Metal. A restart of X-Plane is necessary for the change to take effect. If for some reason a user encounters problems while using Vulkan or Metal, OpenGL is still available by simply unchecking the Vulkan/Metal check-box. X-Plane 11.50 has been in private beta testing since the end of 2019. During the long development cycle for the 11.50 Beta, better handling of plugin drawing was added, a new process for texture paging was added and iterated 3 times, and multiple fixes to increase performance were added. X-Plane 11.50 Beta is now available to all X-Plane 11 users on both the Laminar and Steam sites through the X-Plane 11 update feature.
