The problem with this statement is that it's speculation on your part. You assume the return would be small for the investment. I can tell you without hesitation that the money is there, and some products have in very obvious ways shown so to those that need to know.
-
Many...TBA. A lot more than you're privvy to is going on behind the scenes thanks to a joint effort between several entities.

Marlon, You'll likely need to download the latest service pack update for this product free of charge at the REX website if you haven't done so already!

Precisely.

Predictions and implementation are only as good as the programming behind them. I can without a doubt state that the UFMC has fantastic representation of VNAV provided that the config file you're using is well coded. The developer of the UFMC provides some preset ones for you when purchased. Bear in mind that the UFMC does NOT use X-Plane's generic VNAV implementation. Instead, it uses custom logic (just like PMDG) to properly calculate things. In fact, the UFMC pretty much overrides the entirety of X-Plane's autopilot with it's own, creating a much more true to life experience. At this moment you are taking something PMDG says at face value. There are people justifying experience here who HAVE flown PMDG products plenty, and are vouching for the integrity of the UFMC and the experience it provides. You can take it at face value as well, or you can purchase it and see for yourself!

Time will tell. That said, I think you're very wrong in your assumption. Then again, what do I know?

[SOLVED] Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit Installation problems
Cameron replied to ArthurDent's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Is this when you have the CRJ loaded? The log I mean? I'm not seeing the vas plugin or the CRJ plugin load. Can you please: 1. Open X-Plane and the CRJ 2. Exit X-Plane 3. Post the resulting log again. -
People are even MORE prone to move aircraft folders around. If they break something they'll come to us. If they come to us we'll tell them what not to do.

That means the .tga file extension is there, but your OS is hiding it...that's plenty normal.

[SOLVED] Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit Installation problems
Cameron replied to ArthurDent's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
It very much sounds like you have either: A) Not followed the installer instructions as presented to you Moved stuff around when you shouldn't You should: 1. Download the file after purchase from X-Aviation. 2. Unzip the file you download, and run the installer that corresponds to the operating system you use. There are a few Linux installers included depending on your setup. 3. Follow the installer prompts. Make sure you select your X-Plane directory and NOT an aircraft directory for install! The installer will then install all necessary files where they should go. The CRJ will install to: X-Plane/Aircraft/X-Aviation/CRJ-200 DO NOT MOVE THE AIRCRAFT FROM THIS FOLDER! On to your battery issue: Are you treating these as switches or manipulators? They are manipulators, and rather than just clicking on them you need to grab the switch and move it with mouse motion. Are you doing this? -
Hi, Folks, With the recent release of 1.1.1 it seems that most of all the crash issues have now been resolved (with the exception of a few plugin conflicts). We consider 1.1.1 to be very stable for flying, and are happy with the results thus far! Because of this, I have closed the CTD report threads for both Windows and Mac. I have started new threads for support based on the following: Please read the following very carefully! If you are still experiencing a crash with version 1.1.1 installed this is very likely due to a plug-in conflict and is NOT the CRJ being unstable! We are working closely with numerous developers and plugins to try and assist with creating workarounds for making other plug-ins compatible with the CRJ as well. In most cases other plug-ins work just fine. However, there are a select few plug-ins that have consistently been known to cause errors (like XPUIPC being in use at the same time as the CRJ). Here's what to do if you are experiencing a crash and have 1.1.1 installed: 1. Download the X-Plane Demo Installer as follows: Mac - http://dev.x-plane.c...nstallerMac.zip Windows - http://dev.x-plane.c...llerWindows.zip Linux - http://dev.x-plane.c...tallerLinux.zip 2. Install the X-Plane Demo to a folder on your desktop. 3. When done, open the CRJ installer and install it to this demo version of X-Plane[ 4. Open the X-Plane demo and the fresh install of the CRJ and see what happens from there. Doing the above will ensure you can test whether the problem really is the CRJ and our programming as a bug, or if you have a conflict with another plugin. Did your aircraft still crash after doing the above steps? If so, please proceed to the following topics: Mac - http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?/topic/2073-mac-crash-issues-with-111-post-here/ Windows - http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?/topic/2074-windows-crash-issues-with-111-post-here/ Linux - http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?/topic/2075-linux-crash-issues-with-111-post-here/ Did your CRJ 1.1.1 install now work in the new install you did after following the above steps? If so, please proceed as follows!: If your CRJ-200 now works after the suggest steps above in this post, this means you have a plug-in that is not part of the CRJ-200 package that is conflicting with the aircraft. This conflict would be the source of your crashes, and now we'll need to figure out which plug-in causes the issue. We can do so by doing the following steps: In your ORIGINAL X-Plane install (not the fresh install we just did for the Demo version) that was causing CRJ crashes, please: 1. Remove ALL plugins from your X-Plane/Resources/Plugins folder, except for: Mac - vascore, shrinkwrap.plugin, and gizmo.plugin, XPLM.framework, XPLM.shlb, XPWidgets.framework, XPWidgets.shlb. Windows - vascore, shrinkwrap.plugin, and gizmo.plugin, XPLM.dll, XPWidgets.dll. Linux - vascore, shrinkwrap.plugin, and gizmo.plugin 2. Now open your main X-Plane that was originally crashing with all plug-ins (except for those listed above) now removed. 3. If the CRJ now works, you may begin adding back your plugins one by one. Eventually you'll find the one that's causing your CRJ to crash. When you figure out which plug-in is causing conflict please feel free to post it here. We'd love to work with you and other developers in resolving these issues so everyone may enjoy the plug-ins of their choosing without conflict!
