  1. From what I have seen, there really isn't audible feedback of this in the real aircraft either. It's much like a typical GA aircraft trim wheel where a servo is moving it in near silence.
  2. Please read the manual! http://www.togasim.com/mu2docs/
  3. I think you need to read the manual. Try axis 5 for your setup.
  4. This will serve as an official announcement that we have released the TOGA Simulations MU-2 Marquise version 2.0.1 update. 5. Okay. Now re-name your Custom Scenery folder back to what it was, removing the new, empty one you made. Then, remove the following plugin and try again: D:\X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/DataRefTool_XP11_2021_07_14
  6. Your log shows you are crashing during the scenery load phase. Can you try re-naming your Custom Scenery folder to something like Custom Scenery - Disabled, and create a new folder called Custom Scenery that is empty? Just curious if it loads at that point.
  7. It does not work with X-Plane 10 at all.
  8. I have no idea what express zip is. I have a feeling this is something installed on your computer. The file is a standard zip file.
  9. There's a difference between a dev's time, and a customer choosing to be one of the few staying behind in X-Plane 11. That's ultimately your decision, but the explanation by @GridiroN was spot on. We will be implementing things like rain in XP 12. Making X-Plane 11 features that only work in OpenGL at this point is not a good use of developer time given the proximity of X-Plane 12. That's where 99% of the customers will be headed!
  10. Maybe @skiselkov and @Coop can take a look at this? You're saying it happens each time you move to a different aircraft?
  11. You should NOT move that folder! Use the installer as @daemotronhas suggested.
  12. Sounds like you don't have GPS Steering (GPSS) enabled. I'd type it out, but better to just watch this great explanation from @Graeme_77: https://twitch.tv/videos/1528083688 He starts discussing it around the 25 minute mark.
  13. The 4GB's is a fringe case. How things are reported (especially on Mac) isn't the most accurate in terms of GPU usage either. The GPU is responsible for all of the rendering, including being dependent on monitor resolution, object rendering, and, again anything visually output (think displays). Behind the simulated displays, code will also be dependent on the CPU, and many other tasks will be piled onto that. These are demanding tasks on the CPU and GPU. Most importantly is going to be your thermal throttling in that MacBook Pro. It's just not going to work out real well here, because as the laptop heats up, it's going to compensate for this by slowing the computer down to try and cool things off. Thermal dynamics are against you. For the eGPU, I would recommend a Razer Core X and either an AMD 5700 XT or 6900XT. Ideally the 6 series GPU at the top end, but I don't know your budget. The eGPU will cut the performance down about 20%, but as a whole things will run MUCH smoother and quite because not having the GPU and CPU both working hard is going to cut back on the thermal throttling issue. A word of caution... 1. The 6900XT will only work if you're running macOS Monterey 12.1 or later. 2. An eGPU will NOT work with Apple Silicone CPU's like the M1/M2. If you plan on going that route soon, I would not buy the eGPU. Invest the money in your new Mac. If you won't be upgrading your Mac to the new Apple Silicone CPU's in the near future, an eGPU for your situation is going to be the way to go.

  15. Hi Luis, Sorry to say, but the 4GB is likely limiting some, and more importantly, while that processor is capable, the MacBook Pro in that configuration will start hitting thermal throttling, which then causes the simulation to run slower. Apple has done a good job of getting around this in their latest M1/M2 chip MacBook Pro's, but not so much Intel. External GPU's can help the situation drastically if running an Intel MacBook. The Cessna 172 is not a great benchmark because it really doesn't impact much on the CPU (very simple aircraft), whereas more complex add-ons are going to actually require the CPU to pick up a lot of load.
  16. Luis, What are your hardware specs?
  17. Hi @geordie, There will be a free update for the X-Plane 12 version of the MU2 v2.
  18. I can't say for sure what the future holds on the Islander. In terms of future products, I would not bank on Linux support happening. The issue tends to be a typical cycle of low customer volume and always too many flavors of Linux to choose from. It causes unnecessary support time spent troubleshooting issues, and if the developer is not a Linux user day in and day out, the business case to support it can be a very tough sell. Of course, there's developers we have that use Linux daily (like Hot Start), and so Linux will remain there. It's just not realistic to assume a non-Linux dev will continue to pour support time into something that yields far lower return for investment of time spent than the two other platforms.
  19. It is a permanent drop. Unfortunately the Linux market just isn't there to be sustainable from even a support perspective. Sorry about that!
  20. Captains, The Mitsubishi MU-2 is somewhat of a special aircraft for us at X-Aviation, primarily because it was the first product ever sold when we opened our store 14 years ago. Since that initial release in 2008, @tkyler has kept the MU-2 relevant in our catalog and updated it free of charge through four major versions of X-Plane. That's quite a long time of dedication! Today, we're officially announcing Friday, July 15, 2022 as the release date for v2 of this great aircraft! This isn't just an update to the existing aircraft! It's an entirely new code base, 3D model and FMOD sound simulation. It is truly a new product. Streamers: Please join us for some live streaming sessions and chats! We have lined up several streams this week to showcase the aircraft. The first stream will be today/tomorrow (depending on where you live) with Reflected Reality's@Graeme_77 , July 10th at 1700UTC (1PM Eastern Time for US Residents). Following that, on Tuesday, July 12th, JonFly will be streaming at 8pm Eastern. We have a third stream being lined up, and we'll be sure to leave an announcement about that once timing is finalized. Release time: We are a USA based company, and you can anticipate the release to occur in the afternoon on Friday. We'll update with a better time as the product nears closer to release. Pricing: We will be announcing price (as we always do) once the product page is up and running. More details about the product as a whole will be there too. Upgrades: We want to thank our loyal MU-2 customers for supporting us over the years, and there's no better way to do that than to offer up a nice discount for v1 users! Later in the week (but prior to release), we will be sending out $20 discount coupons to all current v1 customers to use towards the purchase of v2. Please Note: These discount coupons will be valid for 60 days, after which upgrade discounts will end. Secure your discount early to not forget! Manuals: The MU2 v2 will come with online based documentation. We will release that documentation here prior to release so people may get a better grasp of what the v2 product offers. That said, the stream sessions will be an even better opportunity to see what the product has to offer! Re-Branding Starting with this release, X-Scenery will be re-branding to TOGA Simulations to better align identity with products. @tkyler will still be the primary developer behind the brand, so outside of the name, nothing else changes. Want to learn more about what Version 2 of the MU-2 has to offer? Check out the Work in Progress threads here:
