With slow FPS your entire system is essentially at a standstill. Like I said, it may not seem like your gear up is registering, but it may well be and is taking forever just to get there. A lot of weird stuff can go down when your ram is being exhausted. No, these are plug n' play devices, really. There's no need to install additional drivers.
-
System hog or not, your onboard vram is not utilized anywhere near to what X-Plane would require.
-
Given the extremely slow performance on the machine you speak of it may be taking an eternity for anything to register while everything else computes in the background. I really don't have a clear cut answer for you, and at this point I think your best bet is to contact Laminar Research.

Correlating memory exhaustion to issues. This card is roughly 512MB, and X-Plane likes to suck up around 1GB. You say the plane is moving at about 1fps...is that actual performance (as in is it really laggy), or are purely speaking about speed of the aircraft roll and not laggy performance of the sim as a whole? Can you verify that in your joystick setup window that the throttle axis is assigned to the throttle and you can see it move when you move the throttle up and down on your joystick (in the joystick setup window, remember)?

How much vram is on that onboard video? That is going to be a huge bottleneck for you without doubt!

I've sat in the jumpseat of many Saab 340s (and E120s for that matter) and I can't remember a single one that was not dirty as ever!

This is YEARS away, haha. Who knows what the future holds for 10 still!

No issues here. Have you tried deleting your preferences first and then restarting sim? -
Not at this time.

Great shots! Thanks for sharing!

Hello, All!, It has been a very long time since we've let info out on this product. Time has gone by, and in that time X-Plane 10 has been released, the product was put on a temporary hold, and we carried on with products like the DC-3 that so many of you are enjoying (thanks to all of you for making that product a success!). Over the course of the last few months the Saab 340 was picked back up and we have been working hard in the background to complete it. The team involved is working very hard to ensure this product a good one, and based on what we have produced so far, I have no doubt this product is going to be a hit! The length in time may seem disheartening to some, but in reality it is a blessing. As days go forward, so to do our skills and abilities. Quality bars are raised, and as such it forces us to do and make better. The Saab is no exception to this rule, and because of this a lot of 3D modeling and texturing has been entirely re-worked on this aircraft! For this project, time has been a GOOD thing. Many people are likely curious as to what we have coming down the pipeline in terms of systems functionality, and we are quite confident this will not disappoint! The Saab is aimed to be at the top tier of systems and visual simulation. With this said, we have also upgraded displays to be drawn by our own OpenGL, and additional systems have been added/adjusted according to the manuals we continuously study (as well as the numerous cross-referencing with our lead pilot in this project)! For the moment, I just want to briefly preview what we have re-worked with the 3D and textures on the Saab 340. More will come your way when it comes to systems programming as well, but for now we just want all of you to know that this project has heavy life in it, and it will without doubt make it to your computers in a timely fashion. We don't think you will be disappointed! Enjoy! (HINT: Click on images to see full size!)

This is quoting Leen from a different livery he did. I assume the same applies to this one: "*IF you want the pilots back in the cockpit simply remove file Pilot.png from the N102AP Virgin Islands/objects-folder. Yes, removing a file to get something back, it sounds weird, but I am not kidding." The difference here would be the folder name of the livery to which the objects folder is contained.

It'll be interesting to hear how your 670 does with X-Plane 10. I have the 680 and it honestly chomps through 10 with things maxed out, clouds included. The fill-rate ability on these cards is phenomenal.

Was originally a desktop app back in the day.
