Do not do symbolic linking. Your aircraft scripts will have major problems with this.

Read the post above the one you just made.

The video used for reference is a more advanced cockpit and shows the B variant of the Saab 340. This is a different aircraft than the Saab 340A.

You will guarantee yourself headaches with licensing and updates. Just don't do it.

On March 31, 2016 you elected to click a link and report that one of our Saab sale emails was spam. As such, you were automatically unsubscribed from the email system (by law we cannot continue sending you emails once a selection like this is made).

Ben's reply was rather long, so I'm going to re-iterate for other readers... Not a bug. The real one doesn't have logo lights when winglets are retrofitted either.

Both of these guys were taken care of days ago. You certainly are alone. That said, I see neither an original ticket from you or a new one. Send an e-mail directly to support@x-aviation.com

After pasting in the key, just stick your cursor at the front and end of the key in the HotFix box, pressing delete one time on each end. See if no errant spaces are existing in X-Plane itself.

Uh, wow! All along I've been agreeing with the issue being present and just having a discussion with you and possibilities. Nevermind the fact I can't even re-produce it after it happened, and if you even paid attention to my first post about this it's easy to deduce about 90% a corrupt driver. My favorite part of this conversation is how you tell me it's impossible for it to be driver related, you've been around for 30 years so I must not be as competent as you, but you want me to go fix it. Ooooooookaaay. Thanks for bringing your life advice into the grand finale though. I'll go get right on those guys who've worked endlessly for 6 years that they need to take more time away from the family today for you, Glen! Have mercy...
-
For someone who's been around this stuff for 30+ years it strikes me as odd you aren't following along very well. I said nothing of hardware. Drivers are software. I said nothing of changing drivers. I said it's possible our software is corrupting the driver. The issues other people see are not even close to what you're describing. This is really no different than how other plugins have the ability to access memory and corrupt its state if accessing things in weird ways. Simply programming. Nothing to do with hardware.
-
Considering the fact you cannot reproduce this everytime it is absolutely possible a corrupt sound driver instance occurred. How can you definitively say otherwise? When I experienced what you stated above it was pre-1.0. It's also possible a bit of code drives it to this corrupt state. Sound is very finicky in X-Plane as it is. This is witnessed across a lot of sound using X-Plane plugins out there.
-
The original wind noise was a default X-Plane one placed in by mistake if I remember right. The new wind noise is straight from a hi-def recorder placed in a 737 during flight. You'd prefer the non-realistic version over the real 737 recording then? I suppose you could perhaps swap the audio files around. I'm sure Nils will investigate any type of looping anomalies if present.
-
Corrupt sound driver is most likely scenery. Resolved itself after the fact. I've had something similar a few weeks back. I even tried to record it on video, but when I eventually re-played the video I recorded the sound was completely normal!
-
Don't use the X-Plane preference for this. Use the IXEG settings windows instead!
-
We aren't even thinking about v4 at this time.
-
It is. @Nils would be the one to talk to about the actual sound though.
-
Yes. Use the plugin admin to disable SkyMaxx Pro.
-
Some people would find it rude and offensive that it was even asked. Locking this now. We don't need to get into this kind of debate here.
-
Don't be so sure.

Captains, We are pleased to offer you a free upgrade to version 1.0.3 of the IXEG 737 Classic! Just like with our previous update, we will use the HotFix upgrade system here. Rather than going and re-downloading an entire aircraft package, or having to go through a full re-install process, we will be offering more immediate code changes through this delivery method. In short, it's quick, easy, and kind of fun! Please read below how to install this update! But first, here's what's in it... Version 1.0.3 introduces the following fixes: Various fixes to sound engine. Some sounds being heard when they should not and vice versa. New datarefs added for XPUIPC and CDU Display so remote CDUs can be developed. Fix to soft crash scenario when sequencing 2nd to last waypoint and last point was part of an airway (not procedure or direct) Spoiler keystrokes now more in line with XP Standard. 4 is "extended", 3 is "lay flat" Fix to several soft crash scenarios when crossing T/D. Tweaked magnitude of reverse thrust / N1% Flight recorder test now affects requisite annunciator. Fix for soft crash when erroneously using a slash to enter OAT on the PERF INIT page Fix for many soft crashes relating to arrivals where the deceleration at the Speed Restriction Altitude crosses a waypoint with a ABOVE restriction. VNAV calculation only. Some temporary protections put on the PROGRESS page to minimize soft crashes until the page is officially completed and endorsed. Day/Date fields on the POS INIT page swapped to confirm to title line. Tweak to oversensitive toe brakes. Tweak to improve some compatibility with Saitek equipment. Can set fuel level using the preflight dialog now. Fixed bug relating to soft crash and actuating the Fire Handles Fuel entry on the PERF INIT page takes decimals now. It was rounding up/down before. Gross Weight and VRef values on the approach page now update during flight. Imperial GW values stays in imperial units, instead of reverting back to metric. Adjustment to incorrect mach target speeds when switching AP pitch modes from VNAV. HUD forward view is now available. Spoilers deploy when armed for all cases. Before, for some users, they did not depending on their preference settings. Can now select SID transitions on LSK1 (2nd page and higher). Before, attempting to select SID trans on LSK 1 would do nothing. Some data is now saved between flights, particularly fuel and MCP settings. Tweak to cabin temperature adjustment Can enter CG on PERF INIT page now. Fix to GPU disconnecting when randomizing ground services. Fix to N1 activating during approach some times. CG now adjustable on the TAKEOFF page. Trim updates accordingly. New wind sound file in effect To upgrade your aircraft to version 1.0.3 please follow the below steps: Open X-Plane and the 737 Classic as your aircraft In the X-Plane menu bar at top, select Plugins > Gizmo64 > Windows > HotFix You will be asked to enter in your HotFix ID. You have the latest version of 2. As you can imagine, we no longer develop for it.

Overcast in v2 was always heavy, Kyle. Not sure there's much to say here other than upgrade to v3 when you can.
