TropicalSim Releases KDCA for X-Plane 10

They are trying hard to make a name, yes.

TropicalSim Releases KDCA for X-Plane 10

I cannot speak for Dennis, but the CRJ-200 is approved via contracts. I assume the same would be there for the Challenger.
  3. Once an IP is connected it should say so within sim. Do you get this confirmation? If so, that is all there is to it. If you don't get this confirmation then you may be entering in local network ip info and not actual gateway info.
  4. Presumably donate back via the investment of his time to continue making freeware.
  5. The Saab is taking everyone's time for the moment. When updates are available for this project we'll be sure to let you know.
  6. None of these answers are readily available at this time.
  7. No, Gizmo is not programmed to run this way.
  8. Hi, Colin, Very odd. Things seem to be flowing through pretty normal today. Are you able to try a different web browser?
  9. You'll be sure to know when it happens!
  10. Well done, Colin!
  11. Gizmo primarily talks with the CRJ plugin to verify integrity of the license. Without it, eventually your CRJ will discontinue to work altogether (we don't do continual license checks, so you have lucked out on the times you have utilized the CRJ without it...unless your license is invalid or has expired, in which case it will look for Gizmo at each startup). An example of someone who thought the same as you: The memory exhaustion here will not crash the sim entirely. Instead, various plugins at times will discontinue to draw OpenGL code or discontinue operating altogether. This line of your own further re-assures what I already know (I work directly with Laminar day in and day out, and have been at this tech support stuff for 4.5 years now ) :
  12. Firstly, Gizmo is required. Secondly, everything you specify is indeed related to memory exhaustion. It was an off chance that removing Gizmo appeared in your eyes to momentarily solve this, but as one other person in this forum also found out, Gizmo is in no way the culprit. In the end it was his large custom scenery folder and high settings. The 560 is likely getting further constrained with XP's hefty requirements. The displays are drawn on the GPU, and short of starting at the BARE MINIMUM (low resolution) settings in X-Plane and slowly turning things back on/upping resolution I have no further suggestions for you. Laminar will alleviate most of this pain with the introduction of X-Plane 10 64-bit. Until then, it's a battle for some, a non-issue for others.
  13. See replies number 4 and 5 in that topic.
  14. Keep it up! Looking good!
  15. He's made it quite clear that he likes Ramzzess, but that he feels the 777 fell short. Praises of the SSJ from Michael are found in many areas of the forum.
  16. That's no error to be concerned of, Keith. The initial load up master caution sound is temporarily disabled on Windows for OAL conflict reasons between plugins. It will be implemented again at a later date. I believe it is two sounds in total disabled for the moment. You are hearing engine sounds, etc at the very least, correct?
  17. You are so right, Kieran! Somehow I misinterpreted this, but reading it over I realize I was wrong. Thanks for pointing it out! C47, the update is a complete re-model of the 3D parts to the aircraft!
  18. I'm sorry. You're still not making sense to anything I am discussing. It appears to me you keep talking about item #2 on your list, yet I have again stated twice now that I am discussing item #3. As a reply to that, you insisted that issue #2 was not caused by any form of memory exhaustion (something I never disputed or tried to assert). Let me quote you to help you realize what I am discussing:
  19. Why would lights have anything to do with item three on your list? I'm rather confused. I still stand by my statement. What you state is a tall tale traditional example of what X-Plane may do in memory exhaustive scenarios. On the CRJ if this occurs will will shut off displays from showing. Each aircrafts reaction to X-Plane's response of the situation will be different.
  20. Item three coud be related to memory exhaustion. You may want to tone down your settings (especially objects/cars/roads) to see if that improves the situation. Nothing we can do about it...you're pretty much at the mercy of 32 vs 64 bit on that one until Laminar updates!
  21. You already posted this, and it was answered:
  22. That is correct. The current version has and does open, work, and fly in X-Plane 10.
  23. There has not been any update released and the newsletter does not indicate any update has been released aside from one in production.
