Hey, Leen, In this type of situation install the Saab, and then re-name it's folder to something like Saab340A High. After this, go into your X-Plane/X-Aviation folder and delete the uninstaller. You should be able to have two installs in this manner.

Dirk, The situation with you is slightly different. You are an active participant of this forum who provides meaningful posts outside of any dismay. That said, this topic is not a place for you to talk about the DC-3. This topic is about the Saab, and only the Saab, and a previously closed topic about the DC-3 is not an invitation to start up more posts in another section. We do not provide times of release because we simply don't know them. Too many elements are at play, and in our experience over the years the reaction has been made worse with any form of a date missed due to things out of our control. Providing you updates as we have done here as to where we are genuinely at are our next best thing, and you can take it or leave it for what it is. The real importance in all of it is we do not discontinue our support of products and releasing updates. It's not in any way "fun" for us to hold up items from release just because...we don't do that, and in reality, the time it takes to respond to posts like yours don't help our or your situation any bit. You've been given a platform to air your concerns, Dirk, but I think you've done so enough now to the extent that you're now becoming counter productive. Enjoy the community for what it is, and let's stop going in circles. There's no debate to be had here, Dirk. Perhaps if we actually stopped supporting our products or did not intend to update what we say we do then you'll have an argument worth hearing beyond what you have already said.

Astrogator, Please consider trying to make a positive contribution and impact on this community. Thus far you have two posts, both of which are your desire to shed your negative feelings. It does not bode well for your credibility here. I do not feel compelled to interact or try to defend anything here. There are many topics on various sites complimenting our customer service and response times. These people write in via the appropriate support ticket e-mail system (and I assume you have not used it - a brief investigation suggests not). All I see here is a bunch of perceived sarcasm, when in reality you're a man who needs to look in the mirror. Your post is riddled with such, and frankly, it will not be tolerated much longer. The time to change your behavior in this community is now. If you feel compelled to continue in the same manner you have already shown, please show yourself the door. If you cannot do so, it will be shown for you.

Sorry you both feel this way. We have been creating add-ons and publishing them, including updates since 2008. There are many elements at play here to make this all work, and given your responses, very clear you do not understand that process (especially Marcel). I definitely appreciate you airing your concern, however. That said, as our track record has always indicated, we will surely get out updates as they become available. To that extent, we have never failed.

John is very good about communicating with folks when he has news to share. I'm sure he'll do the same for your question when the time is right. Patience.

Well, that's telling. Considering Ben NEVER made any kind of mention that Froogle was trying to save cash to purchase more toys. You really read it that far wrong? I mean, the comment was pretty direct, so this is a head scratcher... You don't have to buy it, but you'll be lying to yourself in the meantime. This may be the most assinine comment of the day. The dispute is not about the original purpose of this topic. You know where it went, no matter the path. It is your thought process as to what I am conveying to you that is off. Don't mince words. There's a reason I distinguished with the word "point" and not "thread."

No, I'm not. This is your own failure to be objective and see the bigger picture of where someone like Ben is coming from. Froogle can see it. Why can't you? There was no warning to anyone with the exception of the three of you who decided to name call. In this instance, your choice of words was to call Ben a "dick". Um what? I have equally stated that I understand Froogle's position and original intention. The original focus here has obviously been drawn to Ben. I needn't discuss a whole lot of the other side for very logical reasons. You really need to re-assess your thoughts on this. Thus far, they are 10 degrees too far off center of intended point.

Perhaps you should re-read my post with regards to how I would respond to the rest of your post. This isn't about taking sides or justification.

I'm not going to start a debate about how to start a topic; we just don't need to. Everyone is going to have varying opinions here, and in the end all of you have to live with your own comments to a degree. As many of of you well know Ben is more cut and dry, and he had no problem explaining the type of day he was already having, but he did take the time to warn of such. You can factor that in however which way you want. As much as you may disagree and harbor the stance that this felt like "discrediting the guy as a nobody looking for some free software", that's one way to interpret it, but looking at the bigger picture objectively it is NOT what the point of Ben's statements were. I don't even have to watch that video twice to know why Ben immediately responded the way he did, and I also don't have to watch it twice to understand where Froogle is coming from. There are potentially better ways "always" when it comes to saying your piece. Let me put it this way (objectively): Froogle could have stated his side a bit less authoritatively as to who he is and why he should be 'used' in his video. This rubbed some wrong, and immediately got the reaction from some in the way that Froogle is "not as big as he seems." In that sense, it's easy to misinterpret the statement about subscription levels and the answer to prayers as a means of entitlement because of who Froogle may be. As a consumer, this does not rub someone like you the same way it may rub a developer who has been working 3+ years on a particular product(s). 15,000 subscribers is great. The exposure is welcome, but if we're going to sit down and be realistic we'll also say it's not going to be the wave that breaks the flood gates either, and this is a bigger side to where, in part, Ben is coming from. You cannot misconstrue this statement to mean that even with that said, the exposure is not welcome; it is welcome. You need to remove your personal feelings from the discussion before you can see where one's opinion is coming from and what they may mean. It's not necessarily that they don't also agree with your view about exposure, but they have other elements to consider that you may not.

No one is doubting the benefits of exposure. If your take away was only this, then you have missed the point for which Ben was trying to convey.

Given your word of choice to describe one's behavior, this argument is very weak.

Ben serves a very valid point in here through his posts collectively to which many of you seem to be taking to near extreme. His argument overall is not centered around Pete/Froogle. Be careful who you call a "d-bag" or similar. The door is not far behind you. Re-read objectively and be a bit more open minded before you go calling one of the guys who has produced software that brings to market some of the best add-ons to date (and coming...like IXEG) any names. Don't do that again.

Aside from bug fixes we do not anticipate expanding this aircraft any further.
