That should not be happening. Can you post the log.txt file located in your X-Plane folder?
-
There's nothing you need to do with those menus. Some aircraft use them, some don't. Gizmo is a language API for X-Plane. The DC-3 uses Gizmo to simulate systems and make your experience better than what default X-Plane can provide.

Douglas DC-3 Version 1.4 Update Released!
Cameron replied to Cameron's topic in Douglas DC-3 (no longer in use)
I have just adjusted these switches on both Mac and Windows, doing a full manual startup. For the life of me, I cannot duplicate this issue. -
You need to be sure your XSB is 1.2b.

I think this has already been answered, Tom. People have let you know that moderator queue more or less is a "soft ban", meaning it's a way to not label you as banned to the community, but they will keep you in that status going forward. There are guys here who have been on that for years.

X-Aviation's Black Friday Weekend Sale
Cameron commented on X-Pilot's X-Plane flight sim news in Sales & Deals
Why would you buy a product you already own, and why would you expect the product to be any different than it's always been? More importantly, why would you not question if there's anything different and inform yourself as a buyer prior to purchasing? We always give free updates to all of our products, so this makes no sense to me. If you already own this product write in to us. We'll be happy to refund you the purchase. -
Go to X-Plane/X-Aviation and run the uninstaller. After this, re-run the X-Plane updater to restore default textures. I really don't have much else to offer you here. You are clearly placing blame on us when this may perhaps not be our issue at all (it may be another offending plug-in, etc). This is not a controlled environment. You aren't beta testing anything here. It's VERY obvious this is not even close to a widespread issue, so expecting us to pull magic from the hat without your help is well...impossible. We'll be here to help you if you WANT the help. That's the best I can offer you.

To be entirely honest, the log doesn't help here. What happens when you remove all but necessary plug-ins and fly the equal length in flight? What is your RAM at when the CTD occurs, or at that stage length in flight? This is more valuable information. Everyone's computer and setup is different. You're going to need to help more than what's been offered.

Surely you know about Fake Austin, or was this before your time in X-Plane? We banned that ass of a guy here when he first made it to the X-Plane scene. To this day it's anyone's guess as to who it is. For a while I was half convinced it was Austin having a play on himself, but Laminar was insistent it wasn't, and as time went on I became sure of that too. I do have a few "hunches," but they are only that at this point so it's not proper to say anything more since chances are I'm entirely wrong. I'll admit, that made me laugh, but the description of the video also makes me worry this joke of a guy will make a return...

I think you have slightly misinterpreted Ben. The point he was trying to make was not that people shouldn't make suggestions. This is, after all, how products get better. It's those who come in with a demand rather than suggestion. There are ways to carry yourself, and some people have not done a tremendous job of that. Ben's primary point was also that as developers we are only subject to provide you what we advertised to you and paid for. Bugs, fixes, etc are entitlements to you as a customer. You can and should expect free updates for these things. But, things like a weather injection system, or other items never intended or advertised are simply icing on the cake, free additives, and not entitlements. This is the disconnect Ben is talking about from the real world vs. the digital world. I don't ever expect my tupperware in the cupboard to grow wings the next day. I bought it knowing what I was getting and nothing more.

Do you have UrbanMaxx?
-
Oh my...

This is very true, however, it's how you say it that matters most. There's a difference between criticism with a negative tone and constructive criticism. I hope your Christmas goes well, Mat! It's a time to be with family and friends above all, so if possible, do so.
-
Thanks! This is very telling and I think we'll be able to work through this. I'd like to discuss your setup further. Can you please contact us at X-Aviation?

But it IS as great as he said! Do you know why? Because that's his opinion! The same goes for your opinion and not being so great. Each person will be satisfied at a much different level, and lets face it, you are one of the toughest to satisfy of everyone here. You've been "Mad" Mat up until the 1.1 release anyhow, so I wasn't exactly expecting a miracle turnaround in attitude from you just yet. I would be willing to say that if we left things how they were today, based on overwhelming compliments and feedback, over 98% of customers would say that, for the price, this product meets or exceeds their expectations. I'm very confident in that. I know for you it does not meet it just yet, but that's not the point I am trying to make. In reality, you have to remember we have a much broader reach than just "you" as a person. That said, we are very interested and open to hearing everyone's concerns and we have taken notes throughout. And you'll definitely get such! This is an ever-evolving, exciting product, and this response/post is here to remind you that "you" are not always everyone and to be mindful of others' preferences or feelings. What you may like, others may not, and likewise, what they may like, you may not. None-the-less, SkyMaxx Pro is nowhere near done with features being rolled out, and we're really excited to bring you version 1.2. It's got some great stuff in it!
-
Can you please post the crash log file as well?
-
Good stuff! Thanks!
-
There will be no changes made to any 3D model.

Nice work, Pete! This project has been a long time coming, and I remember you saying you had been building a framework for this, but looking at these screenshots it appears you have taken a different direction again and are perhaps using SASL now...is that correct? Just curious if you ran into some kind of stumbling blocks along the way that would provoke the change from binary to lua?

Hi, there....ok, please read all below! Warning: /Volumes/SSD/X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/mac.xplYou should pay attention to this. Please delete this and then re-install AirTrack properly. Loaded: /Volumes/SSD/X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/Xsaitekpanels/mac.xplPlease temporarily remove this plugin from your plugins directory for testing purposes. Loaded: Custom Scenery/USA_FL_KVPS_Eglin AFB-Northwest Florida Rgnl v 3.0 /plugins/GroundTraffic/mac.xpl.Please go to an airport without plug-ins (like KSEA) Loaded: /Volumes/SSD/X-Plane 10/Aircraft/General Aviation/Carenado A36 Bonanza/plugins/sasl/64/mac.xpl.Please use a default aircraft instead of a payware one. Loaded: /Volumes/SSD/X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/CustomSBDatarefs004/64/mac.xpl.Please temporarily remove this plugin from your plugins folder. Now, does it load and work? If so, logically deduct and add back things to the equation one at a time.

Douglas DC-3 Version 1.4 Update Released!
Cameron replied to Cameron's topic in Douglas DC-3 (no longer in use)
As has been addressed above, ALL the knobs mentioned here "not working" do indeed work. X-Plane has always had a very finicky manipulator animation system, and angles of camera play a big role in that. Sometimes a plus value will go negative, but then you adjust the angle of the camera and the value will go back to normal as intended. Rule of thumb being...if you have an issue, adjust camera view (even a slight view adjustment). We will look into fine tuning this a bit more with custom code. Laminar has confirmed this as a known X-Plane bug since version 9 now. It has to do with 3D space calculation. Anyways, I can verify everything IS working as advertised. -

Derek, Be fair here. You sent in more e-mails within a matter of an hour than I care to count. You've already been responded to, and same day at that. -
