SkyMaxx Pro has gone downhill since release?
Cameron replied to AnonymousUser68's topic in General Discussion
I disagree. A very recent post especially proves my point. There's a difference between being almost always negative in all subjects of posts vs. doing what the original thread starter here did, which was genuinely be constructive...and it's welcomed. You continue to tread heavy on waters no matter how many times you have been informed to try and do otherwise. It's getting tiring, Valentin. Your posts here are just adding fuel to that fire, whether they are "constructive" here today or not. It's your entire history of posts that I'm more concerned about, and which then changes the perceived tone of your posts here. This is the kind of stuff I'm talking about. Negative and immature. Please, think a little harder given your past and circumstances before you post. I have a ton of patience for almost everyone here, but admittedly, you're on a shortlist at the moment, and it's only getting shorter... Thanks for taking it all in. -
SkyMaxx Pro has gone downhill since release?

How on earth can you compare the WIP shots to those that the original thread starter posted? I'm not even seeing a close resemblance... Read the forums and you'll quickly learn you are almost alone with that thought. Sounds like P3D or FS X is calling your name. Really though, Valentin. You have a pretty negative tone in almost all of your posts (no matter the subject) all the time. A change in your way of speaking would be a breath of fresh air. -
Hi Ian!, Please use the contact form on X-Aviation and we will get you squared away after looking over your account and activations! We do not handle any activation support via forums. Thanks!

The conditions for which it presents itself can be rather peculiar. There's really nothing to say here, however. SkyMaxx Pro has not changed for some time, and this issue came about AFTER driver updates, which NVidia and Laminar have both confirmed and are working to fix. You have your answer, so now it's just a waiting game of new drivers OR you can roll your drivers back to the known working version. Frustrating, I know. But, it's not something to do with SMP as much as you're inclined to think otherwise. Hope this helps!

32bit plugins don't work in 64 for starters. Are you sure you have appropriate 64 bit plugins installed?

Hi Vincent, We do not have any plans to change this. Thanks! -
[SOLVED] engine startup and shutdown

Vincent, You basically just re-posted what you posted when you started this thread. We do not have any plans to change this. Thanks! -
Vinny, You're simply copying what was in the manual. This was not what I was looking for. Is something lacking in your simulation with the inverter not in use? Thanks!
-
Hi Vinny!, Can you give me a very detailed use case for how you feel this inverter switch is important to your experience? What behaviors are you trying to simulate, what are you expecting to happen, etc? Thanks!

Hi there, Yeah, this stuff can get confusing, especially if you're new. There's a lot to take in when it comes to the development world of X-Plane! In short, SimHeaven is using custom autogen, utilizing facades rather than the standard X-Plane 10 library of autogen objects, so what you see is not what normally ships with X-Plane and is why they are able to apply autogen on top of their scenery as a separate overlay scenery file. Facades are great for custom autogen, but they are not exactly optimized for heavy use. This can often times lead to heavy FPS hits, and is why Laminar opted for a different method to generate their autogen over facades. We have developed a way to apply the more optimized method to our sceneries, but this will not show until NORCAL is released. I hope this was somewhat (even if minimally) helpful in giving you an understanding of what's going on here, and welcome to the X-Plane world! I hope you enjoy it a bit more than what you're used to with MSFS.

SimHeaven comes with it's own mesh. X-Plane cannot load two base mesh (HD and photoscenery) DSF files for the same area, so the statement you read and have pasted here is accurate. It appears to me that SimHeaven has ALSO created an additional patch or option at some point which uses the new V2 HD mesh rather than whatever they used in prior time. In order to use it you would need to download these files directly from them, not from Al Pilot. More information here.

Hi Preston, No, please re-read what I stated. More than likely SimHeaven has CREATED autogen using things like facades to run hand in hand with their product. Quite different than what we're talking about from a technical standpoint of what or how X-Plane 10 default autogen is run.
-
Unfortunately, the answer to this is no. The autogen for X-Plane is a part of X-Plane's own base scenery. It is not an overlay, and thus cannot appear on top as shipped. Sorry!
-
Hey there, no bother at all! Yes, what you said is accurate in how you should go about changing the ini file. Once you've done this all is well (or should be). Alternatively, you can just delete the KSDL folder in the ini file altogether and X-Plane will re-compile the list with SDL at the bottom upon re-load of the sim.

I'm assuming you mean this product? I personally don't know much about the product, but perhaps someone else here might. You may also want to consider contacting the developer of that product for more help by clicking here.

This is something that would require a lot more work than a simple hotfix patch. Thanks for your excitement though!
-
Glad we could get you sorted!

Thanks for the image! Based on what I see there, the quickest way to get rid of what you're seeing would be one to two things: 1. Turn off the autogen in your X-Plane rendering settings or 2. Go into your X-Plane/Custom Scenery folder and delete the _Phoenix_HR_overlays folder. You can get this to show up by simply editing the load order of the scenery pack within the scenery.ini file located in your Custom Scenery folder. Just make it so that the SDL folder you see in that file is loaded up AFTER the Phoenix scenery you purchased from us! Let me know if you have any other questions or issues and we'll be happy to help.
-
Can you show a screenshot of what you're seeing, please? This shouldn't be happening in the way you describe it. We'll be sure to get you sorted so things run satisfactory.

Vague means not very clear. Basically Jim was saying rather than asking a blanket statement of a question you need to be more precise or descriptive. The reality is that the Saab 340A is a very complex product which mimics the aircraft and its systems as close as possible. There are too many situations in which things will simply fail to operate correctly if certain things are not done.
