  1. I'll give it a test, maybe this weekend, and will try to report back.

  2. A little bit of avionics news. The new update will feature X-Scenery's Garmin GTX330! The avionics will resemble a private owner's 152; an owner who keeps his or her 152 up to date with pretty good tech! Its like getting a whole new plane in this v10 update!

  3. Jetstream 32 PHTO- PHNL (limped the approach on 1 engine- BANG!! There goes an engine-again.) *SIGH. Forgot to monitor the EGT and the torque, exceeded the limit for a few minutes, by the time I noticed, both engines were over-torquing and was lucky to save 1 engine.

  4. Hmmm, we'd like to think the Saab will be on par with a PMDG product.

  5. What do you mean by "performance"? The real world aircraft performance? Assuming you are talking about the sim, it is modeled extremely close to the real thing. 90% realistic systems or something. I have completed many flights in the aircraft, a very enjoyable experience. Not a real pilot or T7 expert, but it's safe to say that this is the most realistic aircraft in terms of systems. Fuel burns accurately, climb perf is well modeled. The FMC will calculate if the route is long enough to reach the cruise alt for over 10 minutes, and will calculate if the weight of the aircraft is light enough to reach it. Step climbs are included, if the selected SID requires it (or you can manually enter).

  6. Most of you probably already know / use it. It's a really nice app, available from here: http://x-plane.joanpc.com/plugins/xpgfs-noaa-weather You can set up to what level METAR information prevails. Above that altitude / FL, NOAA GFS forecasts will be used to set winds, temperatures and turbulence aloft at various reference FLs.

  9. This project is definitely alive. It is being worked on when either Jim, Theo or myself have nothing to do on the Saab. The Saab is taking most of our time now, especially as it is in the hands of external testers who are providing valuable feedback and bug reports. Some work has been done on the Citation, including coding some systems. Once the Saab is done, I'm off on a well deserved, overdue vacation, and then we'll throw ourselves into the Citation full time.

  10. A good .acf for a first plane, though, the model could have many improvements. I gave you a 3-star rating.

  13. this project has a lot of potential to move forward, and I encourage you to elaborate on this plane. I'm sure a lot of developers, myself included, would be interested in building thsi plane with you
