  1. Hi guys, So I don't practice emergency procedures and failures too often, and it shows in this video! The link takes you to the point where my descent starts and the initial fusion begins. Unfortunately I had shut off my structural failures the night before, it would have been interesting to see if this overspeed would have resulted in a crash. One thing that struck me was my own delay in realizing I should use the stby ASI to confirm which side was failed. This delay was no doubt very dangerous. At first I thought the overspeed was coming from another browser tab I left open! Then I mistakenly thought the FO side was the issue. I felt I did OK in utilizing ATC to confirm my speed. Anyway, it was an interesting and eye opening event! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/712226145?t=01h16m20s

  2. Hello It would be nice if there was a "castor/free castor" option for the front gear in the aircarft options windows. In the real life, it's easy to steer a plane with a free castor front gear. However in X-Plane the wheel brakes management is difficult to use, even with a rudder pedals having toe brakes. They react practically as on or off. It's very difficult to steer on the grouns at low speed. It's more difficult if there's a crosswind. A free castor option would be a good idea.

  3. For me the only way to get persistance to work was to manually set "disable_persist" to 0 in settings.cfg while x-plane is not running.

  5. I would agree if possible, especially for those of us that don't have rudder pedals. For example I use a joystick swivel stick, and taxi-ing is a bit of a nightmare right now. It's not realistic, true, but would definitely help.
