If you use the X-Plane command "toggle thrust reversers", you can do just that. With your throttles at idle, you push that button and the plane goes into idle reverse. Your hardware thrust lever now acts as a reverese thrust control i.e. adding reverse thrust as you move the lever forward.

I recently finished my upgrade package for the Default X-Plane LOWI Innsbruck Demo Area. I think this is a popular airport in a region where snowy conditions are common and realistic and as the base scenery ships with X-Plane this hopefully helps promoting TerraMaxx a bit (I'm currently supporting JSGME based winter mods as well - this is no 'cheating' on TerraMaxx, I hope this way people possibly get more involved in seasonal sceneries and then go on with TerraMaxx as it's much superior compared to the winter mod).
