  1. Once again on my way from Zurich to Shanghai in the FF77W Flight time: 10 hours 56 minutes I arrived in Shanghai and had to do an automatic landing because of the Smog...

  2. Nothing fancy... took off from Pemberton, flew over Tundra Lake in the Stein Valley area, and landed at the Harrison Lake airstrip. Apparently the Lillooet River is flooded. I have to hand it to Andras, this scenery is amazing. HD Mesh V3 makes Canada look perfect. I have never seen X-Plane look this beautiful. Thank you for your hard work! Please take note that this is literally my first complete flight in over a year. Decided to do some X-Plane in a break from Chemistry, and decided that I also needed a break from developing Hawaii Photoreal; I've earned this little flight. I'd like to add that I couldn't believe this screenshot. This isn't even orthophoto scenery. This is just HDMesh V3 and default textures. Congratulations to the amazing AlpilotX for his perfect work.

  3. Ok I lied... here is a shot of Lanai, but note that as usual, as this is in the image alignment/coastline correction phase of development, all orthophotos are in 1/6th resolution. Final resolution will be 1m/px for the entire island, 0.5m/px for areas of interest (helipads, airports, etc).

  6. For those of you who aren't aware, Molokini will be released as a standalone package either tomorrow or Monday (I'm in North America). This particular one is my first ever project where I built an object completely from scratch and textured it myself. That wasn't that hard, but lining up a geological formation with the finickyness of SketchUp was the headache. Here is a little preview of that...

  7. Sorry guys. I've decided I need to model Molokini since it doesn't exist in X-Plane. Perhaps another week of delay before the update. But you will now definitely want to grab this piece of awesome. Anyways, here are the final updates to Kahoolawe: Reefs and a dulled down version of the imagery for those who want a less psychedelic flying experience! EDIT: No Molokini until the final update, V1.3

  8. I'm not dropping calculus for X-Plane, I would never put anything (other than my family and health) ahead of university. Just as clarification to those who are going "Damn young people and their crazy priorities" I am enrolled in sciences because both my parents are doctors and it's essentially what they wanted me to do and I only just recently built up the will to tell them that I didn't want to pursue sciences. I am heading for a degree in geography with a possible minor in biology (which is offered through arts at Thompson Rivers). My final goal in life is to become a high school or elementary school teacher by first being an overseas English Second Language teacher. I know, what kind of wack-job teenager aspires to be an elementary school teacher? Basically, at my university, Geography does not require calculus and staying in the course will make me do alright in all of my courses instead of exceptionally, as I would have to devote close to half my study time focused on calculus, which I don't really care about. While I love science, it's not something I want to have as a career - I want to spend my life teaching young people in as creative and fun a way as possible. And calculus is not in the realm of what you have to teach 10-year-old children. Perhaps I'm just insane. Okay: I will remove "perhaps" from that sentence.

  9. Sunday Beaver Update 21 Hey everybody, I guess it is time for another Sunday Beaver update after such a long time without doing one. Today, I would like to give you a sneak peak to the liveries that will come with the Beaver package and in addition to that another info about the release. So I will start with the info: As you probably remember, my plan was to do a two step release for the Beaver. First a the regular tire version for $24.95 and then the full package (regular, cargo and amphibious) for $34.95, with a $5 discount for the people who bought the initial release. I now made the decision, that there will be only one release and it will be the full package with all three versions and I won't be selling it for $34.95. It will be availabe for $29.95, so basically everybody will get the discount. In addition to that info now the sneak peak. Sneak peak, because the liveries are not completely finished yet, but in a state that is very mature for showing. Once they are all finished, you will get more detailed In-Sim pictures. Each version will come with two liveries, and then there will be a neutral diffuse map for texture painters to create as many liveries as they like. Regular Version Cargo Version Amphibious Version Neutral Diffuse Map for Texture Painters I hope you like the update and also like what you see. Again, I have to thank you all for your continuous support and patience, and I hope this update makes you aware that the project is still alive and that you will fly the SoulMade Simulations Beaver in X-Plane. You all have a great Sunday!

  10. Hawaii Photoreal Development will resume next Sunday with the release of colour-corrected orthophotos (optional) for Kahoolawe and the beginning of development of Lanai, as well as the beginning of modelling of trees for the entirety of the project. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all! Sorry that I had nothing to release as a gift for Christmas, family and friends basically consume half of December for me.

  11. It has been released in the file library, only Kahoolawe so far. I predict that Lanai will be released before February 1st, but don't trust anything to do with timing from me Just look up my old PHNL project at this forum... But seriously, Kahoolawe has been released. Molokai should be released by June, hopefully. The order of development with islands is as follows: Kahoolawe Lanai Molokai Maui The Big Island Niihau Kauai (I have been waiting, literally, years to do Kauai photorea. It may me well more than a year before I get there, and when I do, I will probably spend a HELL of a lot of time on it to make it as beautiful as possible).I'd like to point out that I am a university student (and not graphic design - I'm in sciences - so I can't incorporate this into my education), so the amount of time I have to devote to this project is very limited. I did all of Kahoolawe, from start to finish in a two and a half day spree of photoshopping and WEDing that was my celebration of the end of semester and beginning of exam period.
