      IXEG has added a new in-sim screenshot of their 737 Classic simulation product at night. The image highlights the night lighting they are working on, as well as shows off some of the various systems in the works for this remarkable aircraft!

      X-Aviation and K&A Sim Development Team have announced the release of a major update to their North American T-28C.
      This update features many new items with the biggest news being an interactive and challenging bombing mission ability! This includes animated explosions and a target to drop bombs at! A video of this new feature, as well as a showcase to the new livery included in the update is below:

      X-Aviation and 4Forces have announced a free update to their popular Cessna 152 package for X-Plane 9.
      This update is comprised of many enhancements, including flight model adjustments, new 3D work, and the addition of many new liveries. You can read more on the update for this package in the 4Forces forum located here.

      Santiago Butnaru, creator of the Santander scenery package, has released a new scenery package for New York's La Guardia airport for X-Plane 9. The scenery represents an effort to re-create the airport as it's seen today, including custom objects for the terminal, static aircraft, underlying imagery, and more.

      Scenery4XP, the creator of numerous well known custom scenery packages, has just released an update for their Canadian Rockies package. This brings the product up to version 1.30. The update introduces nine new airports to the scenery package, as well as many visual enhancements.

      Microsoft Flight Apparently On Hold

      Flight simulator enthusiasts from both X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Sim world's have been anticipating the release of either Microsoft Flight or X-Plane 10 to evaluate which sim is going to be their going forward product of choice, however, a credible source to the popular "10 Minute Taxi" vlog has just come out with news that Microsoft Flight has been put on hold as they evaluate the profitability. This is especially of interest to Microsoft Flight Sim developers considering their future business strategy.

      There is much speculation about this, and for the moment, X-Pilot does not have a clear, definitive answer from Microsoft regarding this news.

      Mac OS X users will be interested to know that FSWidgets has released the new Version 2.0 of GMap for X-Plane (free moving map powered by Google Maps), with a major update to both the EFB Edition and Windowed Edition. The update includes a complete rewrite of the mapping engine to Google Maps v3 API standards, with support for seamless Cloud Based aeronautical Charts and Nav Data. Both editions can be run locally or remotely on the Mac platform. GMap for X-Plane runs on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion).

      Khamsin and Arno, creators of the North American T-28 Trojan, have announced that a new livery will be on the way. They have previewed it on the Khamsin blog located here.
      There is said to be many secretive surprise updates and projects going on at the Khamsin blog, so check it out!

      Real Environment Xtreme announces the release of Service Pack 3 of REXPlane for X-Plane. Fixes include an updated backend processing code of the weather sync feature, fixes for formatting of the metar.rwx file handling of temp and dew point, updated backend code for better performance of the WASYS system and moved processing of weather to their new database system.

      Carenado, creator of high quality general aviation aircraft, has announced their next project for X-Plane will be the Bonanza F33A.
      Carenado entered the X-Plane market more recently and has made great headway over the past year on bringing their Flight Simulator lineup over to X-Plane. You can view their current X-Plane lineup by going to their online store located here.
