Features you might miss.

There are a few features I added to the Duchess that may not be easily found and haven't been added to the manual.

Adjustable Sun Visors (Hover the mouse around the Visors and the cursor changes to a hand.  Simply drag them down or up.)

Adjustable seats  (Same as the Visors.  Hover the mouse over any front seat and it changes to a double arrow.  Drag the mouse forward or backward to adjust seat position.  This is just a fun thing and does NOT adjust the pilots position.)

Turning up the cabin lights will bring up a glare or reflection in the front and side windows.

Added some nice ambient light coming from the GPS and transponder squawk ident light.  These are better seen at night. 

That's all I can remember off the top of my head.  Feel free to discover any more.

Hi everybody there:

Just a doubt I have:  I´ve seen you guys uncheck the "COMPRESS TEXTURES TO SAVE VRAM" in the X-PLANE "EXPERT RENDERING OPTIONS" window. Do you think this will enhance fps and overall performance ? Would appreciate your comments.

My understanding is that this is a no no for both performance and appearance. Think it may have been a post by Ben Supnik at the org.

Well; what I´m saying is that in the Duchess POH I´ve just downloaded (page 5) it appears this option unchecked.

good one Steve, I remember that too and haven't looked back after NOT compressing VRAM. this option should be compulsory, everything looks so much better without compression. but I do have 1gig...

By the way, you can't get into the site without registering.  It's free and worth the effort.  Good stuff from good pilots over there.  Of course, the best stuff is right here in this forum!

This plane is a real joy to fly! But do any of the doors open?

At this time, the doors do not open.  It was a choice I made to keep the exterior as smooth as possible.  Cutting a door out would have made quite a few mesh problems as it is a high polygon exterior mesh.
