tobbe490 Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) In the movie "Flight" with Denzel Washington, the captain arrives at the same time as the passengers are boarding. He then sits down in cockpit and asks his co-pilot if he have done the preflight procedures. Then the push back starts. Is this correct? Does this ever happens in the real world? SwissCyul Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 The movie was really bad... I wouldn't compare it to a real situation. Normally you do the pre-flight procedures with your Co-Pilot The way he flies the plane is nowhere near to a real procedure... Quote
PinkJackal Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 Hollywood movies, what you expect, to see the walk around and the full start procedures? In my opinion it was a makeover of Alaska Airlines MD-80 crash, but with happy ending! What Hollywood produce is nothing like real life! Quote
Colin S Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 You're comparing a movie where they flew a mid-size passenger jet inverted in a climb and crashed at high speed and people survived and the pilot was on drugs and... To real life? Quote
alexcolka Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 Lots of fiction but what a great movie! Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk Quote
Goran_M Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 I'm sure there are SOME airlines who do it the way it was done in the film. Quote
