Anyone else seeing SHARP nose drop when disconnecting AP during approach ?

I've noticed there's a really sharp drop of the nose when disconnecting the AP at decision height during an ILS approach.

Is anyone else seeing this and if so is this deliberate (ie a "feature" of the real plane) ?

I have not flown an ILS yet but I've flown with the AP a few times and when turning it off do not get a sharp drop. I'll setup an ILS flight and check it out.

I do get a nose drop on ap disconnect, almost like the ap trim and manual trim do not agree

Yep I see that drop as well as soon as I click off the AP

This appears to be an X-Plane bug relating to ESP on the Garmin AP. You can also see it "blip" the elevator if you click AP disconnect even with the AP already off. I've reported the issue so hopefully a fix is possible. In the meantime, the workaround is opening the aircraft in PlaneMaker, go to Expert, Autopilot Configuration and deselect "ESP and USP equipped".  Best to make a backup of the ACF beforehand.

You'll also benefit from avoiding an odd "saw tooth" feeling to the landing flare - don't know what ESP is doing there but it seems to nudge the nose up or down during the flare.

I believe this needs Laminar Research to fix.

ESP has been removed for v1.0.1 of the Diamond which should be releasing shortly.
