sobi44
Hydraulic 3A is on only. I'm not using Xcamera and cannot reach the exact location to open the the gear stotage and take the cover out. Is there any other way?
-Paul-
Have you opened the nose gear doors? Also, so you use the Hotstart controls to move (W,S,A,D)?
sobi44
Actually I'm trying to open the nose gear. Are you telling me that W,S, A and D are the only to get in?
Graeme_77
Did you watch the video demo provided in the product? It shows you exactly how to do this. Also pinned to this board
-Paul-
I mention the Hotstart controls because when moving using these the view point automatically crouches down at the nose of the aircraft. When using the Hotstart controls are disabled, moving around using the default XP controls will mean the view point travels through the aircraft skin. Graeme has produced some excellent videos that have helped me understand some of the aircraft systems.
Andydigital
X-Camera won’t allow you to click anything outside the 650, you need to disable it and use the 650 provided walk mode which is navigable with the WASD keys.
sobi44
Thank you all. I'll check the videos and will use exclusively WASD keys.

g-kats
Just a note - it is possible to install/remove the nose gear pins without having to open the door, if you're oriented correctly the click-spot still works.

It's possible in the real airplane too if you're flexible.
N330CT
I have been using x camera with walk mode disabled since release. I have had no problems placing and removing covers and now I can't. Why would they take this functionality away?
ois650
There has been no changes to the Challenger since the 12th of February.
N330CT
Yep. And I have been up to date since then as well which has me stumped as to what changed on my end since I could click last week with x camera and then this week I can’t. It really sucks switching back and forth, I can’t stand walking around with keys. Guess I will just pull the covers and pins once and then never use them again. Sucks but better then jacking with changing x camera every flight. Edited March 25, 2022 by N330CT
N330CT
It was x-camera. To be able to click on stuff outside the plane with xcamera enabled you have to uncheck "exterior camera" on the associated xcamera view.
