Debowing Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 I am in persistent mode on the ground. The fuel panles are OFF and SOVs are closed. Yet, fueling is in progress. How to stop it?
softreset Posted January 12, 2022 Report Posted January 12, 2022 On a new airframe (persistent or non-persistent) the plane gets an automatic 4000 lbs of free fuel. As far as I can tell, impossible to prevent. On an existing airframe reload (persistent mode) the airframe launches with 0 lbs of fuel and then will refill to wherever you left it over a period of 10 - 60 seconds based on how much gas is onboard.
Graeme_77 Posted January 13, 2022 Report Posted January 13, 2022 (edited) To be clear, it isn’t refuelling when you power the avionics on. The level of fuel in the tank isn’t changing. What you are seeing is the data from the fuel level sensors being filtered by the computer to present a stable figure. After power up, give it a few minutes to provide a stable figure. You’ll see the same effect after fuel pumping is finished. The rate of change of the fuel displays are effectively limited by this filtering, prevents the fuel displays flickering all over the place when in turbulence. softreset Posted January 13, 2022 Report Posted January 13, 2022 Graeme_77 - Absolutely right. The plane starts with 325 gallons in each wing tank, but the display begins at zero and then registers up to the ~ 4000 lbs.
