Cameron Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Javier, just out of curiosity, are you doing only the one seating arrangement? Of the three times I've been on the CRJ-200, the seating has always been three rows of seats on one side, and one row on the other.Sounds kind of strange that they'd do that.Looking excellent otherwise! Can't wait to buy her! Jason,Of the documentation I have, all docs state that the CRJ was only configured in 2x2 configuration. A 3x1 configuration in a CRJ would make it very hard to walk through, so I'd be curious to know what airline you speak of, and if you're getting the CRJ mixed up with another aircraft. So, if you don't mind, please share this information to verify. Quote
JBalsa Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Hmm, that's very strange.I flew an Air Canada Jazz CRJ-200 from CYEG - CYWG (Edmonton Intl to Winnipeg Intl) That plane had a 3x1 arrangement.I also flew an ERJ-145 that had a 3x2 arrangement. (A little off topic )I was very confused by the arrangement of the CRJ, and found it odd, but it was in fact so.I cannot find a chart of the arrangement anywhere however. That's perfectly Ok if the seating is 2x2. I was just under the impression that most CRJ's had 3x1.All three times i've been on the CRJ, they have all been 3x1. (I flew a 200 from CYEG - CYGW and then 2 200s from KORD - CYWG - CYEG) Quote
Japo32 Posted October 27, 2009 Author Report Posted October 27, 2009 very interesting that 3x1 configuration. Here we have Airnostrum (the same of the first livery) that is 2x2. Even If I try to look on internet for a 3x1 I don't find any:http://cospilot.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/crj200-cabin.jpghttp://k53.pbase.com/g4/21/670021/2/61508000.073104ewriadn664brindy03.jpg http://www.cimber.com/public/billeder/Fly/crj_cabin.jpganyway.. very interesting Quote
Jack Skieczius Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 very nice interior. defiantly loving what i am seeing. Quote
RealScenery Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Awesome work, Javier.I've traveled all over the U.S. on regional jets and don't recall a layout of 3x1 for this aircraft. Out of curiosity, I searched the following airlines for the seating configuration of their 200 series CRJ:Air Canada/JazzDelta ConnectionMesabaSkywestAtlantic SoutheastComairMesabaUnitedU.S. Air ExpressAir NostrumAll of these seating configurations were 2x2.However, some of the larger CRJ models do have first class which is a 2x1 configuration. Here is the only configuration for Air Canada Jazz CRJ-200:http://www.aircanada.com/shared/images/common/fleet/seatmap/crj.png Quote

Not sure what aircraft you're confusing with, but Jazz certainly doesn't have any 3x1's. Quote
JBalsa Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Wow, I find that to be very strange. I do know in fact that it was a 200, as it clearly said so in the little pamphlet in the seat pocket.Perhaps the 3x1 was due to first class? Now I don't want to be offensive here, but when I was on there, a heavyset fellow was really uncomfortable on his 1 seat, so he requested to be moved to a 3 seat section.I remember then he took up two window seats, and a small girl sat on the farthest seat out. This is how I know for sure it was in fact 3x1. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me here.Well, I remember going on a 3x1, but that's fine, just carry on as you were with the 2x2.Sorry for the confusion -Jason Quote
Goran_M Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 My Saab 340 that I'm making is a 2 x 1 configuration. ;D Quote
YYZatcboy Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 2x1 in the CRA first class cabin. No first class in the 200 as far as I am aware. (I only happen to know this as I was on a CRA today.) Quote
