In some flight operation manuals it says:  the fire warning lights do not illuminate during the panel light test (Not fire/overheat test). In the IXEG they do. Does it vary between different types of classics? (sorry if it is a double report)

Impressive the things you guy's notice :)

Not sure, but I know there are differences between aircraft on what illuminates on the fire/overheat test, so might be in this case well. Jan maybe remembers.

My Pilots Handbook says :

LIGHTS TEST

Select TEST,
NOT all the lights come ON.
NOTE: MKR BCN, FLT ANNUNC,
PARK BRAKE don’t come on at all.
NOTE: On “some” planes, the
FIRE HANDLE and WHEEL
WELL LITES do not come on during test.

 

So, obviously it may differ between planes.
