SMP V4 Install error on osx

Hi,

i'm on macOS Sierra 10.12.1 and got an installation error when i execute the setup-osx installer. Installer payload initialization failed. Got the same error for RWC 1.1, both are fresh downloads. is this a known issue?

Go to your bin, take out the zipped file, delete the original unzipped file, unzip the one from the bin, and try that.. It worked for me.  Same for RWC.

It seems to be something about the automatic unzipping process.

saw this in an older thread, used "the unarchiver" but to no avail.

Hmmm ... did you delete the original automatically unzipped file?

yes. even tryed "unzip" from terminal, same error

Hi, Exactly the same problem for me (SMP v4 and RWC 1.1 downloaded 1 hour ago) with Mac OS Sierra 10.12.2

Try to unzip with different tools (StuffIt, Unarchiver) but always the same issue. I have posted the problem to X-Aviation support

Taking the archive out of the bin after download, then unzipping with StuffitExpander (v15.0.7) worked for me.

Hi again,

I have finally succeded to install SMP4 : after download and unzip with StuffIt (mine is v16.0.5) - go to the folder with terminal :

cd /Users/Pascal/Downloads/SkyMaxx Pro v4/setup-osx.app/Contents/MacOS (in my case)

then run ./installbuilder.sh and it works fine (it desinstalls older version and reinstalls v4)

Hi pbt31, worked! for SMP and RWC, same .zip file unpacked with Stuffit installs fine, funny thing, every other unzipper seems to fail. There is something fishy. Thanks for your efforts

This StuffitExpander from the Mac App Store has always solved the SMPv3 or v4 corrupted dialog issue for me.

I tried it wu=it expander and worked fine. I burnt an additional download though. before using my last I came to check is somebody had the same experience and voila. All is good now time to test
