gpb500 Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 I've had this problem for the past few releases, figured it would get fixed at some point...or perhaps it's something I'm doing wrong. But the approach from SXC via SLI into SNA has an issue where it loses it's track of the FMC course. I have a video from a couple releases ago and I attached the debug file from last night with the latest patch applied. The video even though older is the exact situation that happened yesterday. I switched to manual when it was obvious it would not regain the track. Thanks for taking a look. https://youtu.be/50lzd5PG8n0?t=3m7s IXEG_FMS_debug.txt Quote
Litjan Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 Thanks for the report, the video and the .txt! This will help us fix this issue... Cheers, Jan Quote
tkyler Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 I just fixed another bug that was very similar, so similar in fact, I think it might fix this issue too. Had to do with a very acute turn into a tight sequence of waypoints. -tkyler Quote
gpb500 Posted September 28, 2016 Author Report Posted September 28, 2016 (edited) Oh great. I just attempted a flight from KLAS to KSNA and descending down to 8000 or so, just past KAYOH I attempted a DIR to SNAKE and she locked up...that is...about 1 frame per 20 seconds...after giving it some time to recover, I bailed. Can't wait for the next update! Thanks Tom. Video if helpful: IXEG_Logs.zip Edited September 29, 2016 by gpb500 accuracy Quote
Litjan Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 I would be surprised if this had anything to do with our 737 - and if so it has nothing to do with the bug that Tom fixed (the plane not following the magenta anymore) Cheers, Jan Quote
mmerelles Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 @gpb500 i have seen other people simulator going to single digit performance when the following conditions occur: -you make a change on the fmc flight plan, as you did -you did not pressed EXEC still -windows defender is enabled. it seems when you make a change on the fmc it starts recalculating until you press exec and if windows defender is enabled you cpu will die. is it possible you are running windows and defender is enabled? BluesmanEP Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 Don't disable Windows Defender!! Probably not a good idea to run without it... All you need to do is make an exception for your X-plane folder. Open windows defender, click settings. Scroll down to 'Add an Exclusion', and click 'Exclude a folder'. Navigate to your entire X-plane folder and click ok. You should be good to go! I had the same problem with the EXEC button until excluding the XP folder. I'm happily running windows defender on the rest of my system. Quote
gpb500 Posted September 29, 2016 Author Report Posted September 29, 2016 @litjan thanks. No I know it didn't have anything to do with the magenta issue since it's not released yet (that I know of). It may be related to the recent 10.50 update as I don't remember it happening prior but really, impossible for me to say without trying to recreate it. Just so many variables in the sim. Thanks! @mmerelles No I don't use windows defender (I use webroot). I attempted to press EXEC but the sim was so unresponsive I gave up. Thanks though for the help. Quote
Litjan Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Keep in mind that some people reported that sort of problem with one of the last windows 10 updates, too...
