Gross Weight and VRef values

Hi

I just updated the plane to the last version 1.03.

In the improvment-list i can read: "Gross Weight and VRef values on the approach page now update during flight."

That didn't worked for me. The GW stayed the same the whole flight and the VR-values on the approach-page weren't updated. So i had to enter the estimated GW at landing by myself like in the previous version. Not sure if it is me or if this is still a bug?

Im on 1.03 also, and the Gross Weight and VRef values looks that they are updating correcly for me as said in the patch notes.

Did you guys reboot X-Plane after the patch? It shouldnt be necessary, but just to make sure...

Hi Jan, yes i rebooted X-Plane after having run the Hotfix (and rebooted the aircraft).

My GWT is updating but the Vrefs are not. Gizmo rebooted, Xplane closed and restarted. V 1.03 of course.

Ok, thanks for the feeback... we will look into this to see if there could be any lingering issue. We (like most users, appearantly) are seeing the GW change appropriately.

Maybe you can help us narrow it down - fill out the whole PERF page, fly with a route activated, use Imperial, use KGs, try different startup situations, anything to get that GW going down ;-)

Now THIS I could see - I am not sure if the real page will show the speeds updating while it is open, well, it probably does. So we will have to move these to a more frequent interval, too.

The original problem was that the GW didn´t update, even if you kept re-opening the APPROACH page.

Just to make sure, do the V-speeds update if you keep "refreshing" the APPROACH page?

No, on descent right now and they don't change.

I have been on the "approach ref" page for the last 15-20 min now. And for me both gross wt and vref is updating. 

The second FMC was on "CRZ" page.

They just changed at 7,000ft and 25 miles out during descent, they dropped 1kt. ☺

Well, if you look at the placard over the window, you will see that indeed quite a bit of weight-change is needed to see 1kt decrease... so I guess we can say that IF the GW changes for you on the APPROACH page, the speeds will also change - one less worry.

Now we just need to find out why the GW changes for some people, but not for others... are you guys on Imperial or on Metric?

Never mind, for me it works ok on both metric and imperial... We will have to search further.

Just started exact same route, same weather. Before takeoff, Gwt 118.7, App vref after takeoff 150, 141, 137. Now at 16,000ft, Gwt 117.2, App vref 149, 140, 136, so seems to be fine. Last fight it didn't update until into descent. Not worried, will keep an eye on it.
