My Islander has finally loaded in game and has not crashed as of writing this. I have not flown it just get but I am idle and parked in the normal avionics variant, with default livery. Previously I could not load any version so for now I am happy at least one of the three seems ok. Here's what I did: - I was running XP 12.3.3 (I hesitated to update because of reports that the new update gave performance drops in frames per second) - I updated my XP to 12.4.0-b1 - uninstalled the Islander, deleted all the X-aviation folders - re-downloaded the installer from store - reinstalled the islander Will report back after checking to see if the other two variants load.

Seeing as it's randomly happening, I'd say it's something to do with your system or setup. If it was a problem with the CL650, it would be happening every time you load it. Try removing other 3rd party plugins and see if that helps.

Problem is back - meanwhile also updated NVIDIA driver to most current one, no joy.

Good evening, I need help entering ATC information into the MCDU of the Laminar a330-300. Situation: Flying in Germany. Contacted ATC of an airport and requested ILS approach to say RWY 10 of EDDN. Autopilot is engaged and following the entered flight plan. ATC instructs me to head to "NUB.I10". I found the VOR NUB which is located in the vicinity of the runway. Guessing that I(ndia)10 is some kind of fix, I read about how to enter a fix related to a VOR (NUB in this case). A radial seemed to make sense to me even though it most probably will not be rounded to tenths. However, the autopilot turns away from the runway as I approach the radial 100. I either mess up the programming or, more likely, don't know what I am doing at all :/ Could also bei both. Since I don't find any information or tutorial in which such instruction appears, I hope to find help here. Gruß Franz

I was about to take this up with Laminar, but I was updating my Airfoillabs KIngair 350, when I remembered that it does have dual GNS530s - I had forgotten that this was another example of such a set up. Anyway, I had a look at the GPS version, and the two 530s work perfectly - VORs identified, frequencies work and the radials and distances are displayed as they should be. So, I must conclude that if the Kingair works properly, but the 525 doesn't, it is not a Laminar problem. Please can Coop or whoever take another look at this?

Sorry I can not provide a better solution at this time - I also talked to Tom, and he also said that there is no quick fix for this, it seems to be an artifact of the volumetric lighting effect.

As much as I can understand the wish for some update to this feature or that - if someone wants "a flight model update" it makes me think he just wants an update because updates are cool (and perceived as additional value). Something that is fine does not need an update.

Think about it. A developer recreates one of history's most popular jets and, for years, keeps it updated to the point where it becomes an icon. Then all of a sudden, the dev stops producing updates. He tells us why, but secretly, we know rather than working, he's somewhere sipping Pina Coladas on some beach in the south Atlantic (probably listening to Margaritaville). Nooo, he's not fooling us, we know what he means when he says he's dealing with skins . Obviously, I'm being facetious. I believe Tom when he says he's bogged down on a project for Laminar Research. I believe he's rewriting the documentation, which I can hardly wait to get my hands on - I want to begin a study in WED and make some changes to some airports. I also know how, when confronted with multiple tasks, splitting attention among them may cause one or all of 'em to be lacking. I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't continue posting our wish list, like asking for the whistle sound. I believe I recall that changing the sounds to Fmod is on the roadmap for this aircraft. I might have a few suggestions to post here in the near future. Like most human beings, patience is not an innate trait. It's one of those things we have to practice, especially when we know that someone, somewhere, is sipping Pina Coladas rather than working.

Hi All I have not been able to resolve this to date, and I see others face a similar issue. I note the response from Coop of TorqueSim dated 31 July 2025, with a suggestion that I tried unsuccessfully. If there are any other suggestions that could get the G500 version working for me and others, they would be very much appreciated. I understand there is a huge effort to create these models, and the developers then have to rely on the end user's competence, their hardware and software choices, and which way the wind is blowing on the day they are trying to fly, but interaction with the users is healthy. Isn't it? I have attached the logs from my latest attempt to get the model running, following another very satisfying "flight" with the normal avionics version. I tried multiple time to purchase Hot Start Challenger 650 from X Aviation site I got " This transaction cannot be processed " debit card has the amount available I sent X Aviation a ticket its been 2 days no reply. Need your help simpilots.

I really really really really really am looking forward to some sort of update for this bird.. Amongst other things mentioned, the sound (especially start up and shutdown) I'm looking forward to.. I tried the mango pack but I've gone back to the original sounds because they just sound better lol.. One thing Mango nailed is start-up and shutdown sounds, rest is missing the distinctive whine/whistle from the engines I have heard in every 737 classic video. Also a flight model update would be cool.

Hmm, that is strange, I have not heard that before - do you have time acceleration on, maybe?

Hi, I bought IXEG month ago, and i have problem with it. So the sounds in the cockpit are speed up, not all cuz i bought mango studios sound pack for it. I have xplane version 12.3 and IXEG version is 1.5.2 X-Plane 2025-12-18 13-05-27.mp4

Hmm, thanks for pointing that out - I have just tried myself, and I can see those, too. It depends on the intensity of the "Background lighting" rheostat (behind the Captain´s control column), and I tried, but none of the rendering settings seem to affect it. I will see if I can investigate where those "shadows" come from, for now the only solution seems to be to either increase or decrease the background lighting a bit more, they disappear once that light reaches a certain level. Hello! I've recently started flying the IXEG in XP12 after finally making a concerted effort to move over from XP11. During my first few sectors that were all at night, I noticed that there seems to be a strange shadow/darkened object floating around the flightdeck, particuarly in low light (for instance no dome light). The object moves when I move the camera, it typically sits above or behind the flightdeck seats however in lower light, it tends to move closer to the windshield and cover more of the flightdeck. When there is a flood light bleeding from the cabin into that area or indeed the dome light is on, the object is a lot less visible or not existant. There is also no sign of it during the day either. I've tried to re-install the aircraft, revert any art/shader modifications I've made to the XPlane/Resources folder and disabled plugins for tests. I've attached a few example photos with the line/object highlighted (I appreciate that it is very hard to see in some instances so I've given a rough outline on each example). I must appologies aswell for my description, I've depicted it as some sort of spectre, it's not... It's just a bit distracting in my field of view! Thanks!
