  3. United (Current)[Fictional] - N38727 - IXEG 737-300 Livery View File This is version 2 of a livery I did last year. This new version has many refinements on the old livery, but nothing hugely drastic. Regardless I recommend replacing the older livery with this one. This is a fictional repaint of the current United Airlines livery for the IXEG 737-300. The real aircraft is a -700 and it does have winglets, and they are painted. Let me know if you see anything wrong and i will try and fix it! This is a livery based on a real aircraft for the IXEG 737-300. The real aircraft was leased and operated by Air Polonia, with ICAO code APN. Its most recent owner was Air Asia, but unfortunately it is no longer in service. (in storage currently) Let me know if you see anything wrong and i will try and fix it! 6. Hi, first of all I want to clarify my background: I was piloting Tu-154 in Microsoft Flight Simulator for 10+ years. It is considered to be one of the most comprehensive aircraft models and I had no difficulties to fly a pattern and to land it by hands in most severe weather conditions. Then was a 6 year pause buy now I have discovered that beautiful X-Plane and this tremendous model of 737. So I took my covered with dust Saitek Yoke and started to practice. I have found that I have difficulties with controlling the plane. I have set joystick sensitivity as recommended (0%/25%) but I feel the plane like it is a fighter not a large passenger jet. Here on video (sorry for its quality) on the 42th second you can see how it pitches after I gently pull the yoke for just 1,5 centimeters (about 30% of its full movement): https://youtu.be/v8Ue2s_3FyQ?t=40 Is it normal? Is it real? On the gliderslope I can use only several millimeters of its movement to keep the plane stable. This is not what I was used to before...

Livery for the IXEG 737 Classic featuring the South African Airways - Flying Springbok Variant 1981 - 1997. These were actually 737-200s, but I was feeling nostalgic. Enjoy.
  13. I was taking off from Albuquerque (ABQ) on a hot day. This airport is at about 5000 MSL. I selected TOGA thrust on the runway and subsequently increased my hardware throttle to full power. However, the A/T changed annunciation to THR HOLD without being at full thrust, but instead at about 86% N1. The engines never reached the max thrust rating and there was no assumed temp set either. Also, the takeoff page showed an N1 limit of 91%, which was never achieved. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? What is the real world procedure for taking off from high-alt airports in the 737-300?

  16. Hello! I'm in the process of making a home cockpit, and I'd like to be able to use the IXEG 733 most of the time. I am making an overhead panel. This is the first time I'm doing anything like this. I am currently using ARDsim to map the controls, however, I am open to ideas if you guys have experience with this. I am able to get the pitot heat switch to work with the default cessna (just to see if I have the ability to get a switch to work), however I know it won't be that simple with the IXEG. What steps do I have to take to get a switch to work with the 733? For example the strobe light. I can't get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated!
  17. Hi, Just some things I have noticed whilst using the IXEG 737 paint kit in GIMP 2.8. Not sure if this is GIMP related or not... I don't have Photoshop so can't confirm. When painting close to the nose of the plane I'm getting some strange lines... you can also see these lines on an single coloured aircraft but they're not that obvious when you're only using one colour. And here's the default IXEG paint... 2nd Issue is with the nose wheel doors. The one on the right has some textures on the inside, but the one on the left has none. On the right... and the left... The on to the engines... On the right side engine there is a "T/R DEACTIVATED" decal which is displaying fine, but on the left side engine the text is reversed. Right engine... and the left... Just thought I would mention these.

  22. Hi everybody! I was wondering, how do you guys fly your approach? Do you follow the STARs all the time (Every approach)? When do you lower the gear and flaps? I'm still trying to figure out a "standard", as my approach procedures are a bit random from time to time. Usually I lower the flaps to 15 and gear out at approximately 2500 ft above the field (Or at the radio altimeter call out). After that I just slowly slow down to a speed I feel flaps 30(40) should be lowered, then slow to landing speed. But the same goes to flaps 1 and 5. When do you lower them? Towards the Final Approach Fix / Downwind & Base? I'm still learning and hope to get some good replies.
