ksgy
Yep, seen that, too bad. One of my friends works at the airport, asked what happened
eaglewing7
She looks pretty bad on fire, but sometimes the damage is less substantial than it initially appears.
ksgy
He told me the story:Have to change the whole lower-right wing. They put a "socks" like thing to the exhaust to prevent body from soot coming from exhaust. The sock filled with oil over several starts and was enough to get on fire, than what proceed to the wing. So basically it was about to protect body from some soot from the exhaust... eh...
eaglewing7
Hmmm...Probably would have just been easier to clean the fuselage off later. Of course, if they have a spare wing, its not a huge problem, but you can bet this is still a hassle for the owners and pilots.

ksgy
When she's ready Working on the internal now, then texturing it. Maybe a month, maybe two, don't know really. After that comes the plugin - as much systems modeled as I can. If I'm optimist, it's about 2-3 months. If not, maybe a year.

ksgy
My Precious begins to shape up like a real plane There are a few little things that will likely be modified while texturing, or re-do it, but they are really small things - most switches, knobs, smaller thingy. The overhead panel follows. At first glance it does not seem much of a bite. Mass of switches in a few rows. There are three types of switches, so they should not be a problem. When the overhead is ready, next are the pedals, seats, fans, sun visors - so all the "things" which is found in any cockpit. Finally, the arrangement of walls and window frames refinement.
