Jack Turano Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Hello, I bought the 777 worldliner and decided to finally test it yesterday. When I went into the cockpit, I got only 7 FPS. Then, I decided to test the problem, and switched all rendering options to the absolute minimum. When I returned to the cockpit, nothing changed! I still got only 7 FPS. When looking outside of the aircraft, I got around 27 FPS, which I consider good for my system. I know that there must have bin a bug somewhere, because this was very abnormal. When I turned X-plane on today and went into the default 747, I only got 2 FPS!! both inside the cockpit and outside the aircraft. Then, as yesterday, I turned the sim to absolute minimum settings and got 10 FPS in the cockpit and 12 FPS outside of the aircraft.I know that there is something wrong with this, because a week ago I have been flying with my good settings (the one that I get 2 FPS now) and got 13-14 FPS. My computer specs: Intel 8-core i7 2.40 GHz; Nvidia quadro k1000m GPU; 16 GB RAM; 64-bit windows 7; Once again, something is wrong with the program because a week ago I flew with the same rendering settings and got way way way better framerates. Attached is a log.txt file Thanks in advance... Log.txt Quote
Rydent1 Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Your GPU is the problem sir. How much VRAM do you have roughly? The 777 i would say to have at least 2g of vram but I would recommend 4g vram. Also the power of your card is very low for x-plane , i would recomend at least a gtx 760 (my opinion) for x-plane. Thirdly , the clcok speed of your cpu is low. If you could post your full specs (power supply and voltage included , I could guide you on how to overclcok safely, but it will be at your own risk as overclcoking can be dangerous if you overclcok too much. There is also most likely a bottleneck between your CPU and GPU. IE, you CPU is too powerful for your GPU, and the GPU struggles to keep up with the CPU. Regards, Rydent Quote

Notice that the whole jist of the problem lies in the fact that X-plane was working fine just a week ago, and now I get 2 FPS with a default 747!I think that there might be some problem with the Flywithlua or some other plugin. This is not caused by my computer for sure. Please look at the log.txt file that I've attached. Also, is there a way to fix the problem between the CPU and GPU compatibility that you mentioned? Jack Turano Posted December 28, 2015 Author Report Posted December 28, 2015 Someone please help me! PLEASE... Quote
sundog Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 Looks like you're flying over photoscenery. That might be what's causing your GPU to run out of resources, not the plane. Try flying somewhere that has default scenery. Your GPU really isn't a great choice for gaming or flight simulation to begin with, but it looks like you're on a laptop and you can't do much about that. Quote

I think the problem is RealTerraHaze or maybe something in the airplane? Quote
Cameron Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 No, the problem would be you're asking too much of your 2GB video card. Quote
Jack Turano Posted December 28, 2015 Author Report Posted December 28, 2015 No, the problem would be you're asking too much of your 2GB video card.Oh, but in the rendering settings it says that I have only 800 mb of loaded textres, while I have a 2 GB VRAM. Also, please notice what I wrote on the first post:"When I turned X-plane on today and went into the default 747, I only got 2 FPS!! both inside the cockpit and outside the aircraft. Cameron Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 800 mb does not take into account all of your OS resources. You are almost certainly out of VRAM with that video card. Quote

Cameron Posted December 29, 2015 Report Posted December 29, 2015 13-14 is still horrible. 10 is not much different. I don't think any of us can help you further than we already have. The bottom line is your computer is low in resources. Quote

It changes over 80%!!Could it be SASL, flywithlua, headshake, python, or anything else it IS SOMETHING. Not just my computer.Attached is the log.txtLog (1).txt Quote
Cameron Posted December 29, 2015 Report Posted December 29, 2015 Install a blank demo from X-Plane.com and go from there. Quote
