    Heinz 787

Just finished the last 787 preview, wingbounce much better and lots of liveries. To quote Goran, I can confirm this is most definitely not a study sim, more for the casual user. Hmmm, now I'll have time to film other planes, cough, cough! It should be out in a week
  2. Ooh yes, like Javier says, you can use the keyboard (pg up/dn and arrows) to move in relation to plane and use ir and even go from outside to in, I do it :-) pilotviews good for doing very fast passes. It can all be very fiddly, practice, practice. I'm posting the final 787 preview soon, you'll see in action, a little!! Anyone know how to use ir with the independent free camera view, eg the one that doesn't move in relation with the plane??
  3. Thanks for confirming Javier, you are the video master I meekly try to emulate! I've found Pilotview really handy to use with trackir too, you can use it to get some cool panning/moving camera shots with trackir. Trackir is the best..
  4. Yes, impressive- quality and speed of work! 2 of these will be a fitting escort for a dirty CRJ flyby
  5. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Seconded! Love that love that livery
  7. ;D No worries Goran. I enjoyed trawling through your WIP pics yesterday, a trip down memory lane! But not that long ago....
  8. Yes, after much formatting by Chip, we've finally been able to publish this after Goran's extensive replies. A few surprises.... Thanks to Goran of course, for giving us all more background to his own experiences and projects. Enjoy http://xplane10.wordpress.com/x-plane-developer-interviews/goran-matovina/
  9. Very impressive Eric, should have been your first release! Next project please? Switzerland/Europe for a change? I can see a paid site visit coming up!
  10. ...for some people. I couldn't care less. agree! 3d pit will be a bonus, for now the 2d is fine, ESP when the systems are so well done and the 2 d pit is so clear
  11. Hi Riccardo, good to see more fsxers coming over. I haven't used it yet, but you do know that the x737 had a well regarded payware FMC available? Agree though, an immersive 3d pit would be great. I've seen pmdgs screens of their new 73, si realistic. But I prefer 40 fps..... I haven't heard of a 73 project for xp'. But the crj will keep half the xplane world happy for awhile I suspect! Then the Saab (or maybe that will be next?!), q400, 742. the A320 should be good too. Alas no 738 though. What do u think of X737 handling compared to pmdg?
  12. Thanks Indii, and yes Maxime, nice still photo. Weird angle though, I never do that in my vids! :-) have enjoyed seeing those little preview vids on YouTube indii. Or whoops, shouldn't I say that? The 3d cloud demo looks most promising. If you could get gizmo to do a realistic slowly fading aerobatic smoke trail, my vids would be even better, I wish I had it for this one (a lovely opening, so calming........) Is testing of the downloader almost done? Yay, that means nc almost ready.. Finally, if
  13. Yeah Eric, just waiting downunder. Stuff the high speed download, I'd buy it in a 600 floppy disk pack to get it NOW :-)
  14. Thanks for your great reply, could you post that to the blog as a reply, or can I? It's really good, well thought out! Agree. That's why The x aviation planes stand out, great documentation. Same with the manipulators, I like knowing that reaching for the trim down on the floor (say) means that in a real one I would also know where it is located. Scary new development re. Charts and documentation- I got my wife an ipad, and through 'testing' it thoroughly, I've seen it is a very capable and fast PDF viewer. SIDS and stars and Gorans poh come up so big and Clear and can swap pages instantly. My new EFB! I too prefer accurate and varied incidental sound. When will we get better, more varied radio chatter? I've long turned that off! Thanks again for your reply and thoughts
  15. Don't worry Jack, sometimes my pommie humour is too obscure! However you do know you can't escape, our black ops helos will eventually hunt you down as well...
  16. Hi, just letting you know that we posted a great interview with Vic Kabernique, freeware developer of the Avanti Alterna, here: http://xplane10.wordpress.com/x-plane-developer-interviews/vic-kabernique/ Who knows, maybe one day he'll be payware, here! Goran's given us some fascinating replies himself, so we'll be posting in days.... Volunteers for our Water-boarding program welcome ;D Simon
  17. thanks Maxime and Jack. Well I'd do one of the il96 if I didn't have to pay for it!
  18. With Voice this time! Hope you can understand my nervous, Austraaalian accent! This planes a beaut after grappling with it thoroughly today. Check our Blog out for the full story of the pain of making this vid. It's harder than it looks.
  19. Very funny! But not for G. Isn't it going to be the first " pay per flight" plane, adding that extra level of realism? Do I take her up or do I eat lunch.?!
  20. Ooh, our Blog should repopulate this review section rather quickly, at the rate that Chip produces them and the goodies I discover. Our latest review is of 4 Spanish airports, including our favourite of all time, LESA Matacan http://xplane10.wordpress.com/
  21. Thanks for the update Goran. Love your manual by the way, very thorough! A surprise coming your way on the weekend :-)
  22. That looks great! Keep that also for the Saab and 747!
  23. forgot to mention most of Tasmania! This is a little one I did of Cradle Mountain. Hobart comes up well. Actually, anywhere in the world with elevation and good quality imagescomes up well! Even my flatland home of Melbourne looks great with the Big G!
  24. Hi Wizi, glad u are enjoying g2xpl! I've got a few videos up in my channel that have nice areas, although previewing in bing or G will help! Places ive downloaded and were great are: healesville Victoria, near ylil Switzerland (amaaaaazing) Milford sound nz and of course, Phillip island ypad- flat but so green I'm tempted to try the grand canyon area next, but if norcal comes soon, that'll save me alot of downloading! One thing I do is try a 5 mile area first, to check how it looks, then go for 40. Make sure u change the ini file to change the custom scenery name, as u download different areas, makes it easier to cull or fix later
  25. That was a terrible thing to do with those FSX disks Jack! What a waste, they make great coasters or hang them over your vegie patch to scare away birds.
