  1. You've got to be joking about the gear pump animation!! Next you'll be texturing and animating the piss-bottle (DO NOT get Javier onto that, I don't want a yellow version of his birdstrike all over the interior :-) ) Looking forward to it! "... I found that the installer does not have a browse feature ..." OK, that was the culprit. Updated correctly now... Cheers, Albert Glad you got it sorted. ATM, there is no dataref for manually pumping the landing gear out. Not that I could see anyway. I'm waiting for a dataref to be made. Yes, there is a clickspot available in planemaker but a clickspot doesn't animate the linkage.
  2. The Best Wife in the World just got me F1 2010 for PS3. ;D Graphics are incredible, gobsmacking dare I say, watch me crash as I drool over the most faithful reproduction of the Melbourne Grand Prix circuit I've ever seen. It's a good example of eyecandy vs. realism. It's not a full sim (I think, I'm a bit rusty on the old F1 driving experience), but deep enough to be a challenge, with the fluidity and details enough to make you feel like you're really there (sans G Forces, sheer adranaline/terror and potential death at every turn..). Watch the line markings speed up/down in the replays, it's a good sign of a smoothly drawn sim
  3. Ah, it finally sunk in, when looking around the floor of the Duchess- those red tubular tools are for the emergency landing gear release. Duh.
  4. Congrats G, just flew her and the night lighting and little sound details are fantastic. just did a filming session so a steam of consciousness to come in time.
  5. Never say that we aren't quick off the mark for reviews! If Goran and Theo drive racing cars, they'll different sized helmets after this one.. ;D http://xplane10.wordpress.com/2010/10/02/leading-edge-duchess-update/
  6. Good question Scuba. can't wait to find the answer myself, but I'm guessing it would have to be done in AC3D or Blenders animation functions, which I too am starting to explore in kindergarten forms. 'ooh Daddy, why is my right mouse button the left one?'
  7. Love that post Javier, like your planes, from the heart! the other day, I flew your Mentor in a very rare condition for me- during daytime! I was enthralled at the scratches and reflections on the canopy as the light passed over it, beautiful, very distracting, great!
  8. Yeah, and I don't believe there is a cntrl-alt-delete reset for the Airbus..
  9. Congrats and good luck, you're living our dream Jacob! Just remember to keep your rendering settings low so the flights go smoooth
  10. Ooh yeah Andy, picked up Photoshop elements and a handy Wacom pen tablet for a good deal. enjoying learning something new EVERY DAY. I hate those confusing layers though! now why won't it delete?!
  11. Thanks for the tipoff Max! Never knew the space shuttle could land at LESA, Spain, at only 8282 ft! Or is it to do a suicidal rocket powered takeoff?
  12. Having fun with lighting

    Project 3

yeah, looking nice and complex Guys, a real step up from the GAs
  14. Yes Nout, it's 'from where I stand', by Chicane, not exactly pure trance but I'll blame them for getting me hooked! A great song
  15. I only completed the western hangar complex, but when you see it - it's huge, mammoth even! Chip built the hangars, with my usual tweaking and adjustments. I'm playing with AC3D, but have to admit that after getting quite quick with Sketchup texturing, it better be majorly improved for me to give up SU. Still humming at 30fps, in C74's BX430 chopper.
  16. Welcome to 2010 Theo! Sounds more than capable, I just checked Tom's hardware site, the CPU comparisons show your CPU is only 1000points behind my Core i7 920 (15,500 points) which seems nice n grunty for most max settings. There are better experts here, but I've heard Nvidia cards are better suited to xplane, my gtx270 again seems more than enough. I'd also heard SLI/dual cards aren't worth getting for xplane, but again there are better experts than me! I have to admit I'm very impressed with the intel, and it overclocks from 2.66 to 3.2 no sweat. I wouldn't be too fussed about turning all the buildings up - before xp10, it all looks too walmarty for me, so I keep it at mid level. About to post first preview of our new kmmh scenery, you don't need many other autogen buildings when you see this. Enjoy your new baby and new viruses!
  17. Nice livery there Steve! I recognise those weeds anywhere too, hope you like it. I put higher res grass in the latest download version
  18. thought someone would say that, pretty impressive eh! I'm gonna dust off my ps3 controllers in a few months when it goes platinum and half price ;D Forums say it's not as perfect handling wise as the imagery, but who cares. My old pastime of 'let's see what happens when I drive in the opposite direction' has new meaning now! as for Granturismo 5 , I'll get that on day 1 http://eu.gran-turismo.com/au/news/d14686.html
  19. bugger that vid, this ones even better!
  20. F1 2010 for PS3/XB 360 is looking very good! and raindrops seem to be the gaming flavor of the year. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=0Ct5ekRDUAM Wow, watching the Singapore GP Live now, night racing, reminds me' of the new lit streets in xplane!
  21. Andys right, I too have to use the keyboard for the brakes, it works ok. You need enough throttle to HAVEto use the brakes, then tap tap tap left or right, WHILE you apply brakes (I have them mapped to my trigger button, better than bombs). but I have to admit, I wonder the percentage of Japo fans that actually own pedals? an option not to have to do this would be nice one day.
  22. Beautiful shot Andy! where is it? that looked real on the iPhone at least
  23. Nice comparison Indi ! here's another, check out the page 5 graph, 'poor' australia's always lagging behind, 1/48th.... :-) http://tiny.cc/u1sy1 I tried googling for CAs net debt but I don't think they want to publicise it.
  24. But we do have Tassie, very pretty place. We may be going to NZ within months, it does look beautiful, peaceful, yet perfect for rally driving too! A very early vid of mine, of amazing Milford Sound, those beaches from about 4.16 look incredible, even with crappy Bing maps textures. Excuse the sloppy rudder action, I had an extremely noisy stick then
  25. whoops sorry, wrong topic! I meant to post this to Goran re the xplane 10 planes topic. Don't mind me', Neighbour..
