Here's the newest video of the 787: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=44811&pid=494421&st=0&#entry494421 What do you guys think? To me the textures are very "sterile" and bland. Somewhat lifeless. There is a lack of dirt anywhere...I mean the first time the plane flew it was in the rain, and no dirt?
  3. Those are amazing Some of those shots look like photos! Can't wait to fly over it in the CRJ200
  4. Oh man, I'm so sorry We're all here for you though Good luck with the Bell 412
  5. This may be of some help to you: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=44528&view=findpost&p=493129 If you don't want to go to read it, it's a quote from Mark R. that reads: "Shadetrees site is secure. Just waiting on Google to review it and remove the stupid flag. A iframe appeared on the index page that pointed to a questionable site. I have done everything I can to lock this down and monitoring it like a hawk. Sorry for any issues it may have caused."
  6. Awesome If you need any pictures of anything, I've got a lesson in one this weekend so I can get pictures of pretty much anything you need.
  7. How close is the flightmodel to the real thing? It's the plane I train in so I will be buying this one for sure! It looks awesome
  8. It looks really nice in the sim Everyone talks about these spec maps...is it just adding the ATTR_shiny_rat command to your objects or is there actually another map?
  9. If this is for an ADF, which I assume it is, I used: sim/cockpit2/radios/indicators/adf1_relative_bearing_deg on for the RMI needle on my ADF. It seems to work well.
  10. It's hard to tell whether or not he's using the shiny or not because it's rather dark in those pictures (which are beautiful by the way). However, my guess would be no, he's not, but I'll leave it up Goran to tell us for sure. I'm looking forward to this one!
  11. I thought I'd show a picture of the new Delta paint. (Done by a friend of mine and then edited by me)
  12. I'm not totally sure yet where or even if it will be sold... It mainly depends on whether or not I can program the beast.
  13. As some of you may know, I'm developing a CRJ700. I figured it was about time for me to have a thread somewhere as I hope that the release is coming soon. So here's what's going on... -The paint job is pretty much finished although some things will probably change. I'm working on some liveries right now with the "paint kit" developed by my master painter that will eventually be released with the plane for those of you who wish to make liveries. Currently it has 9 liveries: Air Canada (Red) Air Canada (Green) Air Canada (Yellow) Air India AtlasJet (a Turkish airline) Delta Lufthansa United Airlines American Eagle If anyone has any suggestions feel free to post them here. I will do what I can to see that those liveries get made. -The cockpit is still a WIP with a fair bit of modeling, and probably remodeling, left to go as well as texture things. Also it's lacking in lots of animations right now due to the lack of systems, which brings me to my next point. -Right now the plane has very little systems wise, just a little bit that I was able to program via the SASL plugin, but that leaves our PPC users out of things. So if anyone would like to lend a hand programming this plane that would be amazing. I would mainly just like to see the electrics and hydraulics fully simulated. If anyone wants to help they can PM me and we'll see what we can do -Exterior modeling is pretty much done although there's some things I'd like to add. -There is a full passenger cabin, with passengers and you have the ability to turn the smoking and seat belt signs on and off. -Wingflex -It has dynamic night lighting like that of the Javelin or the Bell 206 over on the .org I have no idea as to when it will be released but I'm hoping soon - I'm really looking forward to moving on to something new. Let me know what you guys think.
  14. Isn't Tom doing a B200? It looks really great. I've actually had the pleasure of starting one up in real life. I went to Charleston West Virginia with my dad for Dow stuff and on our way back I was sitting in the lobby and the co-pilot and I got started talking about flying and then flight sims and then he asked me if I wanted to go out to the plane with him and start it up for us. It was really great
  15. Yes, the Do-328 looks mean and fast just sitting on the ground, I've always wondered what they fly like. Oooh, one I forgot, T-2 Buckeye.
  16. Some of the larger ERJ's, Do-328 (the jet version), Bombardier Challenger.
  17. It's great fun isn't it! I do the same thing at my local airport also in a 152 Except mine are on grass.
  18. AHA! I got it to work! My CRJ700 (now with an Air India paint) is en route to Hyderabad from Dubai - no planning required! I'm so happy
  19. Garrett that would be great. Maybe you could shoot me a PM and we'll talk about it Thanks for the help guys, I tried a quick one today from KMBS to KDTW...I couldn't find the "EXEC" button but oh well. It came up with a big red line and a green double arrow thing on the map, I followed the green thing and it was very close, should I have followed the red thing? Also do I set the AP to "on" or "engage"? If I do it right will it automatically fly the heading for me or do I have to use the HDG mode on the autopilot to fly a route that it shows me? Sorry if all this is real obvious to you guys, it isn't for me
  20. Ah thank you guys soo much! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one doing it old way I will definitely be trying this out tomorrow
  21. Okay so I've been hearing a lot and reading a lot about these FMS things and I know that they control your flight via waypoints and stuff but I've got no idea on how to do any of that. Would anyone be willing to point me to a tutorial that explains this or explain it themselves. They way I fly now is I calculate my heading based on latitude and longitude of the two destinations and then fly there on the autopilot heading mode. I'd be thrilled if this was a simpler way cause my way right now takes too long to figure out and I usually have to do some serious adjustments of the heading mid flight which means I have to monitor it. Would anyone be so kind as to explain it to me with just the default X-Plane FMS or a (preferable free) plane with a good FMS. Or if there's a place where this is explained that would be awesome. I just learned how to do the VOR stuff last weekend, I'm getting more and more into the whole navigation aspect of flying and I think this is something that would be very important to master. Cheers
  22. Ah, that's what I figured, but I was wondering if there was something like foul play or what not. I feel real bad for them - I hope they can get back on their feet
  23. Clearly I am missing something about the situation. Is the bad part the fire in the AC or is there something else that I'm unaware of? And since I'm obviously missing the whole picture of what happened what exactly did they lose? Is it the two dogs or something more? It's not the way you explained it, don't worry, it's just that I don't fully understand. If someone could help me I'd be happier (or sadder depending on what happened) BTW, your video won't load on my computer - Mac OSX Snow Leopard, Safari
  24. Looks really nice! Just out of curiosity, what setting to you have for the ATTR_shiny_rat? It looks nice
  25. It looks amazing :o :o I can't wait to fly this one Goran. Your planes always look so nice!
