  1. Very nice representation! I love how you highlighted the cumulonimbus thunderheads!
  2. This makes me happy guys! Im glad you are enjoying SMP.....
  3. Thanks for the kind words, and your suggestions....Noted!
  4. HDR and AA are killers but keep in mind you can make adjustments in the UI along with the default rendering settings to increase performance. We included these options so that SkyMAXX can be tailored to a large range of systems... I would start by setting "cloud detail" to its lowest setting and "cloud draw distance" the same.... Keep the cloud sizes smaller also, once you have this make incremental increases until you are happy with the output.... Crepuscular Rays are going to be expensive, no way to get around it. If your system has a terrible time with them just shut them off, but by tweaking some settings in the UI and default rendering you can get them to work well..... Two other performance tweaks we included are the cirrus texture resolution and 3 different overcast layers..... Selecting low or mid cirrus layers help slightly with a smaller texture load... Out of the three overcast layers "Med" is my favorite, a flat overcast layer is there for performance also in the "low" setting. "High" uses ray-casting and is recommended for power users.....
  5. Set the view distance in the default weather dialog to 100% and the "cloud draw distance" in the SkyMAXX Pro UI all the way to the right, you will see a better representation. If performance suffers you will need to adjust from the UI until you reach a good balance....
  6. You may need to turn of the crepuscular rays and make some adjustments in the SkyMAXX UI. We made it possible to scale SM for a variety of systems......
  7. Colin I am happy to bring this to you....of course you know we have many different talents involved........

It is a time consuming process, Im sorry it is taking so long and it has taken so long...........But hang tight guys we are working hard to bring this to you.....

  15. SkyMAXX will kill the default clouds completely the % slider in the rendering pane will be rendered useless..... You can make adjustments for the clouds in the UI for SkyMAXX from the plugin dialog......
  16. We will have this info available to you and we will be selling it at X-Aviation.......

  20. I actually recommend the NOAA plugin over the default weather.....
  21. Although I haven't tested it with VATSIM it is tied into the default weather so its safe to say yes it will work just fine......
  22. He may be talking about when you first activate the plugin there is a neat effect, Im going to let you discover that for yourself. But as I have shown before the plugin uses an algorithm to create some pretty nice cloud formations. Lets not forget you can change the cloud sizes in the user interface also. Oh I forgot to mention look at the UI there are 3 options for the overcast layer now, this was another addition we decided was important by listening to the BETA team and the community..... Darius I am not 100% sure of the final size but you will be surprised how small it is....
