  1. Any new pics or videos?
  2. Outstanding!
  3. Yes I was joking. This karma thing is rubbish IMHO.
  4. You're -24 now... Stop being such a bad person, don't you realise you'll expire once your karma reaches -30.
  5. Absolutely true re addons! Try anything by PMDG or even the LDS 767 or FSL Concorde. Not to forget the upcoming A320 by Aerosoft!
  6. I never have these problems with FSX. You could always try tweaking FSX, check out the various tweak posts on AVSIM. Maybe try defragging your hard disk too.
  7. Dunno... but you got -9 now! sorry
  8. Any news? just kidding.
  9. Congrats to him! But that's the worse news ever for XP. You really think his new wife is going to let him work on XP like he used too. No way!
  10. Congrats! It's the 3rd party developers like yourselves that will help raise XP to the next level and encourage more FS9/FSXers to jump on board!
  11. I wouldn't say that FSX is dying as there are still plenty of new products coming out. The good thing about FSX now is that the FSX "platform" is stable so developers know exactly the capabilities/limitations when developer their addon. However XPlane10 has a real opportunity to eclipse the FSX platform in what it can offer developers and users alike.
  12. Ah ok... I thought you were basically a one man operation, but if its a team effort then makes sense.
  13. Maybe this should be logged as a bug so Austin/Ben can fix? Seems to me that XPlane should be resetting all datarefs to a default state upon loading an aircraft.
  14. Why so many projects but nothings actually finished? How's the 747 coming along?
  15. Can you not have a "lite" version (without the INS and other engine variants) and an "advanced" version with those features? People who own the lite version could buy it now and upgrade (for additional cost) to the advanced version when its ready.
  16. With what? Project stalled?
  17. Fantastic. Please upload a bigger resolution of this pic, would make a nice wallpaper! And some more pics too please!
  18. +1 IMHO polygon budget needs to be spent on the places that are in the pilots viewpoint most of the time, thats the glareshield and pilots gauges especially the T.

    Rain on CRJ

That looks really great! They can't do that in FSX I bet and still have high FPS
  20. Investing in R&D like you're doing will make you the PMDG of XPlane. Looking forward to more updates.
  21. As I understand it the technical limitations of FSX/FS9 don't allow as many polygons as with XPlane. Please spend your polygon budget in the cockpit and not a cabin/crew area. Make the most beautiful cockpit you can (with smooth/round gauge fascias, and great night lighting) and you will have the FSX/FS9 crowd talking. XP needs a super high quality 747, its the glamor plane of all time. You can be the guy that convinces 1000's of FS9/FSXers to buy XP just to try your 747.
  22. Looks really good but it must be an early preview. Will it have wing flex, gear doors, normal mapping? I hope there is a 3D cockpit because if not I don't think I will buy it.
  23. The textures are bland and there are no normal maps, the systems modelling is basic, the 3d external model is bloated at 1.5m polygons and there is no 3D cockpit. What did he actually do for this to be worth $65? IMO this aircraft should be selling for $15 max! If the joint efforts of others developers here on X-Pilot are as clumsy then they should not bother either. The old days are over and second rate X-Plane products just wont cut it anymore.
  24. No wonder he has to charge so much for it! But if he can't model it himself then why even bother? I guess this also means that he doesn't have the time or inclination to do decent modeling and thus purchasers should never expect a 3D cockpit with this aircraft.
