  1. That's what I mean. Track the time we spend flying the models that Gizmo enhances. (EG if I want to know how much PIC time I have on the Falco, CRJ, MU2, Saab, etc. when they are all enabled.)
  2. Any hope that we can get Gizmo to track how many hours we have PIC on each aircraft (or Aircraft type)?
  3. Still on target?
  4. I use the UFMC and X737 FMC extensively. Both are excellent, but may not in all cases be 100%accurate. But the overall useablity and addition of Navigraph support and SID/STAR/Holding Patterns to the autopilot are well worth the small innacuracies when calculating TD targets.
  5. Thirded!
  6. Ah Ok. I did not realize that they were that flexible. YAY!
  7. Ah, So it's going to be different. I guess that's OK, but deep down I was hoping that UFMC and the CRJ would use the same data so I would not have to buy two AIRAC updates. Oh well. What's a few euro in the long run. Thanks for the answers!
  8. Actually it is called the Dash 8 Q400 (DHC8D or DHC8-Q402) This was done to differentiate between the Dash 8 "Classics" and the Dash 8's with the NVS and new interiors. To settle it, the seat belts on the q400 have Dash 8 engraved on them
  9. Looks good!
  10. Nice!
  11. Back when I was at school, I had to use pirated software in order to do my school work in my Music Classes. In order not to feel guilty about it, I promised myself that as soon as I could afford it I would buy the software that I use. 1600$ is a lot to a full time student who worked full time while going to school in order to be able to afford it. I could use the school's software in the labs, but they were only open while I was in other classes, or at bad times for me. (I worked till 22-2300 at a theatre, and 8-10 AM lab times with the three hour commute was impractical). I got an A in that class using the pirated software, which lead to my graduation with an excellent GPA. I then joined the military, and while I was away on Basic Training and had a bit of money I bought all the software that I had used before then. I appreciate that the software was available by Torrent. It was like a loan from the company in my mind. Without it I probably would not have made it through university, or at least not with the GPA I had. It's a grey area. I am glad I was able to buy the software, but does the two years I "borrowed" it make me a bad person? I don't know... I don't mind the DRM here. I figure by the time the DRM breaks, the aircraft will have broken too due to lack of support for the constant changes in X-Plane.
  12. http://www.czvr.ca/_Pilot_Resources/_Charts/index.php There is a good resource for those interested in flying in Saab 340 Territory. Pacific Coastal flies 340's. Their destinations are Hub: Vancouver Anahim Lake Bella Bella Bella Coola Campbell River Comox Cranbrook Klemtu Masset Port Hardy Powell River Trail Victoria Williams Lake
  13. Looks great. Glad to hear it's pretty close now.
  14. Tell Ruben to stop playing around and get back to work so we can all fly it around Good to hear all the animations are coming together. I can't wait to play around in the cockpit, and take her up for a spin.
  15. Here's hoping all the best for him.
  16. Git'er done, and git'er done well is my motto. If we have to wait... so be it. Better to wait and get a finished product than have you guys rush and not have it work right. Congrats guys, looking forward to it.
  17. Goodway will work just fine, but you may need to manually import your routes. By that I mean, Goodway will generate an ICAO Plan for you which looks something like: CYYZ LEST7 OO DCT MSS V310 FRANX FRANX2 CYUL That plan Identifies the destination and arrival airports (CYYZ/CYUL), The SID (LEST7), The Route (OO DCT MSS V310 FRANX) and the STAR (FRANX2). Speaking from using the UFMC/x737FMC, and assuming that the CRJ will be similar, all you would do is select the correct SID/STAR when identifying the Departure and Arrival Runways and then enter the fixes and Airways in the route page. No need to type out all of the waypoints on the airways since the Navigraph data will have all of that information in it. All you should need is the ICAO flight plan. HOWEVER, There are plenty of excellent and Free ways to generate ICAO flight plans. One way is to use Flightaware.com's resources pages if you are in North America. There are also free online route finders such as http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ and http://flightaware.com/statistics/ifr-route/ Hope this helps!
  18. I dunno about you guys, but I've been reading all the manuals at smartcockpit.com for the CRJ and the SAAB, so when the time comes, study time will be minimized.
  19. YAY. The mountains thank you. (For everyone who is not Goran and does not know what I am talking about, I've got lots of routes ready to go up and down the coast mountains. Pacific Coastal Airlines who actually flies the A variant of the SAAB is who I am basing these routes on.) Hopefully Theo is back from his vacation
  20. Are there any in sim renders yet? (Don't do any just for us if it will take you away from getting it out sooner . The mountains are begging me to fly in the SAAB) Cheers Joe
  21. Getting better each day.
  22. Hi Guys, Please don't take this as nagging, since that is not my intention or desire. I am just wondering if one of you can peel yourselves away from you work for a second to give us a rough update on where the project stands. How far along is the programming? Is it say, 75% done? 90%? Has the beta test phase started? Have there been any unforeseen problems? Anything of note to share? Between the SAAB, CRJ and the new terminal that we are getting at work I am for sure learning the interesting phenomenon of the wait making the product twice as good. Just hoping for some sort of update so I can guestimate about when it may be ready. Cheers Joe PS our terminal has been pushed back to mid feb.
  23. Looks good. NOW WORK FASTER
  24. They're still working on her. It'll be done soon.
  25. (FWIW I can use Crossover to run most PC Apps.)
