Some weekend fun...

Decided to visit the Citation last night to see how things were shaping up texture-wise (Theo's role on the Saab 340 has finished a while ago and he wanted to get Citation textures complete.) So to break the monotony of typing Saab manuals, I started messing around with a few gauges on the Citation and took her out for a bit of a spin.

Good site, but it won't have enough information to cover what we have made. Even the manuals on smartcockpit won't have enough information. Probably good enough to get "warmed up", but not enough to really know the intricacies of the systems.

Ok, after we've had our fun with our April Fool's joke on the Saab, it's time to bring you all up to speed with what is happening...including Citation progress. As Cameron already mentioned, systems are complete on the Saab (they have been for a little while) and all we have left is adding the custom sounds. I'm still working on the manual, however, Theo and Jim had nothing to do on the Saab, so we all decided to get started on the Citation until we get a new build of Gizmo. So here's a couple of snaps of the Citation as it is for the moment.

Me too! We're getting there. We're pretty much down to testing, getting the manual finished and adding all the sounds.

All I can tell you is that it is closer to being finished. As Tom Kyler would say "We're 98% finished with 64% to go" We're all still plugging away at it, 7 days a week. We'll post more info as it comes to light.

If they are custom lights with a light spill added, they will need HDR to be enabled. Light spill only works with HDR.

I'll send a more recently updated flight model to XA sometime today or tomorrow. I made a few more adjustments in the last few days. I will also post a small set of instructions for the brave ones who don't mind making the adjustments themselves.

I just tested the Duchess in X-Plane 10.11 and 10.20, and I see nothing wrong with it at all. When trimmed, it flies perfectly steady. Autopilot is also working correctly. If you want any kind of assistance, first, I recommend you show a little more tact. Coming in here and making outrageous opinions like "it flies horribly", is not the best way to go about getting any kind of help. State the issue and provide as much detail as possible. Opinions, literally, do nothing to help me identify the problem.

You're only in 10.10r3?? At least update to 10.11, which is the latest stable version.

Something I REALLY wanted to make. Some people say it's ugly. I say it's "charming"! No doubt Javier can do it justice.

Rhydian I've been getting quite a few requests on the AEW variant and we are on the fence about whether or not to do it. I don't have so much of a problem making the mods to the flight model and modelling the extra bits around the exterior, but the interior would take up too much time. As a result of this, IF we do one later, it will be soon after we release the original package and it will only be the external changes.

A tutorial was always going to be done for this aircraft. That was a must. We've decided which 2 cities will serve as origin and destination and work will begin on it within the next week. It won't be extensive but it will be more than enough to get from point A to point B while using many of the aircraft's systems. Screenshots will also be included as visual aids.

Too many elements depend on range. I can give you a long range flight at an altitude of 25 000 feet with no wind, ISA conditions, Engine AI off and an aircraft weight of 28 500 lbs will get you about 1500nm on a full load of fuel. Time to complete the flight will be about 6 hrs
