  1. The only reason the TBM can cause a freeze or crash with scenery is because, unlike most other add ons, it uses terrain radar, and is reading the scenery as it flies over it. A corrupt scenery file, no matter how small an error it has, and no matter where it is, can cause it to lock up. If the scenery is installed on a second hard drive, it could also cause a lock up. Although this is not confirmed yet. What I'm concerned about is missing scenery files, as indicated in your log file. I don't have OrbX, but maybe you can ask them about it on their forums. Show them this section from your log.
  2. Looks like you MIGHT have some corrupt scenery tiles...which I would find unusual, because you're crashing over OrbX scenery. But that is what is being loaded when the crash happens. Do you have scenery installed on a different hard drive? Does it crash at the same spot each time?
  3. I can get rid of the red reflection (which is the red binder), but then the glass would have no reflection at all.
  4. It does automatically update, but, IIRC, whenever you install an update or a new product, it asks to validate the license. Otherwise, IIRC (again), it asks for a validation every 6 months. I'll try some things on my end to see if I can reproduce the problem. Also, if the Saab is running fine, with all systems working, you have a validated license.
  5. I had a license update the other day and saw the exact same thing on the glass. But that was pre-validation. After I entered my email and password, all went back to normal. By any chance, did you remove Gizmo or didn't update your license?
  6. I only just saw this. Have you got it working?
  7. I'll leave that for someone who has the hardware See image at the bottom of this post. I don't think you can . We use the default Laminar G1000 with heavy customization. Likely a corrupt scenery tile. But for future reference, if you have a crash, save the log.txt (found in the root X-Plane folder) and post it in the forums so we can have a look at it. You'll be notified here in the forums or if you have chosen to be notified by email, you will get an email. To update, go back to your account at X-Aviation and download the installer in your "Purchased Items" section. When updating, always make sure the sim is not running. If you have a previous version, you will prompted to uninstall the previous version. The installer will do this for you. Thanks.

  9. Excellent
  10. The TBM uses shaders for the rain and ice.
  11. We're getting a LOT of forum posts from people complaining of the TBM getting a CTD during load of the sim. Many of these forum posts have been answered, but I'll post this to make sure you all can see what the solution is. PLEASE make sure your Nvidia drivers are updated to AT LEAST 419.35! Anything previous to these drivers will result in a CTD during loading of the TBM.
  12. AFAIK, the previous drivers (anything prior to 419.35) were very buggy when it came to the shaders being used in the TBM.

    CTD

Reduce reflection detail to minimum, and the flashing should stop. This will be fixed for the next update
  14. You have outdated nvidia driver. Update to at least 419.35
  15. Goran_M

    CTD

I'm heavily suspecting the nvidia drivers are causing the crash here. Please update and try again
  16. Goran_M

    CTD

Please update your drivers to the latest (419.35)

    CTD

Need the log.txt file from the X-Plane root folder.
  18. Another idea. Check the maintenance manager to see you haven't got accelerated wear checked. Check all circuit breakers. (I'm just trying to cover all bases here) Make sure you follow the checklists in the G1000 to make sure everything that's supposed to be on, IS on and everything that's supposed to be off, IS off. To see it fly smoothly with no problems, and then suddenly things go haywire, tells me something is going on mid flight.
  19. A bit of a drastic idea would be to delete your preferences and then restart X-Plane. Downside is you would have to recalibrate everything.
  20. Please do. I'm racking my brain here trying to duplicate what's going on, and it's just not happening for me.
  21. Question: Is your experimental flight model turned on?
  22. You can actually set the reflection detail to low and the blinking should stop. So you can still use the AoA HUD. Experimental model is NOT recommended. So please don't use it as it might have unpredictable results. Particularly on takeoff. And thank you for the comments.
  23. We found a bug that causes problems with the TBM and AMD drivers. A fix is in the works. Apologies for this. It'll be fixed as soon as possible.
  24. Unfortunately, it IS something to do with AMD drivers. Sometimes, when bugs get fixed, we take 2 steps forward, but then take 1 step back. Saso is working on an update for the AMD users and should be out very soon. Many apologies for this, but it's not something we thought would happen.
