Spinners will be fixed. Theo wants to finish the repaints first before he does anything else while I add all the manipulators in the cockpit. While I do manipulators, Theo will do repaints. If I'm still on manipulators when he's finished our shortlist, I'll get him to do a PenAir. Whether or not it's for V10 only or both V10 and V9 depends on how many people will prefer to stay with V9. From what I have heard, it will be much easier to migrate V9 to V10 but not so easy the other way around, so it might be best if we do it for V9 first and then migrate. Might change my screen name back. Or I might find a cooler one. We'll see. The avatar will definitely stay!

Not much to mention regarding the progress of the 747's. Theo and myself have been extremely busy working on the Saab for the last couple of months. Once it's done, we're both taking a 1 week break and then we'll dive into the 747 stuff. I originally wanted the 747-200 ready by end of this year, but we decided to finish the Saab first. We're hoping the 747 will be ready some time in the next 6-9 months. We'll post some more work in progress screenshots in the coming weeks/months.

Thanks for that. We want to hurry and finish it but we don't want to rush it. We're confident it will be worth the wait if it does go overtime.

Just about finished. Have to add a load of manipulators, test and finish the manual. In 3 weeks? Fingers crossed.

Common sense can be a wonderful gift. Adjust the seat when you SIT IN IT. Not at 37 000 feet!

We have a shortlist of liveries. The Saab will include at least 6 liveries when it's done. We'll probably add a Pacific Coastal in there.

Pretty much. Just a few small fixes are needed. Maybe a few hours work. A little more coding, testing and finishing the manual will be done in the next few weeks.

Fine tuning some interior textures atm. I can finally put up a textured cabin screenshot.

I think I saw a thread somewhere that explains using the toe brakes with the saitek rudder pedals but I forgot where it was. The braking in the Duchess uses default x plane values. Icing can be very tricky. It can occur in temperatures of up to 20°C. As long as there is enough moisture in the air, it can happen at any time. With temperatures that you are describing, icing will always be around. Again, thanks for your comments. We're very pleased you are enjoying it. There is one aircraft I have been collecting information on for the last few months but we won't start work on that until some time in the new year.

Correct. there is no anti ice on the wings or props. The only anti ice is in the carburettor. You would need to fly above the storm to get rid of the ice. The engine issue (2500-2600 rpm in the first 1 or 2 minutes of flying) has been fixed but is in an as yet unreleased update. Update will be coming soon.

Hi Thomas Thanks for your comments! Much appreciated. Please do not adjust the landing gear friction co efficient. This will give you more or less friction while rolling. Also, adjusting anything in the acf file will void any support we can offer should you have any problems. For the brakes, there is a setting in your joystick and keyboard settings to assign regular or maximum pressure. My guess is you are using regular pressure.

Did you forget to power avionics? =D Things are not always what they seem.

Testing... Testing... And more testing... Modelling it is the easy part. Making it do what you want it to do is the hard part.

While Theo works on textures, I've been doing lots of animations and testing of control surfaces, especially the landing gear. Only the fuselage and tail are textured. I'll throw up some more screenshots in the coming days when I get some more textures from Theo. We're aware of a few "missed spots" so please don't point them out.

Rebuilt it? That's the 3rd one. Fixed the 3rd one until I was happy with it? Lost count. Doing a tube is simple. Making cockpit windows, the nose and especially the interior walls is NOT simple. There were times I would spend up to 6 or 7 hours working on something only to end up deleting it. Easier to re do than fix.

Texturing will be finished in about 2 weeks. CTOT and Autocoarsen (auto feathering on engine failure during takeoff) are coded. A few more things to program then I'll finish up all other animations, including manipulators. As always, feedback welcome.

Bunch of whimps. Who drinks coffee?! I eat coffee beans when I want to stay awake.

Another one. All the necessary modeling is done. Just adding all the little details now. Texturing will take about 2 weeks at most as most of the aircraft is textured. Animations will take about another 2 weeks. Christmas? Very likely.

You'll see more of Gizmo in the Saab. We programmed the CTOT and Autocoarsen with it. Both have been tested and both work nicely. We'll be coding a few more things with it as well.
