You can have up to 5 charts to choose from and they can be changed at any time during the flight using the charts pop-up panel. Just put a check mark in the chart you want displayed at any time.

Basically, you can study the acf file all you like, but the vast majority of this aircraft, in particular the engines, is run by Gizmo with acf figures providing a starting point. The entire engine system has been coded from scratch. We had to manipulate a lot of figures to provide this starting point, but, even if you're going in there just to see what we did, please do it knowing that the engines, as well as most of the other systems, are being driven by code. This is actually one of the reasons I wish we could encrypt our files. Not for "security", but because we know some people will start asking why we did some things we did.

Did you set the ADF radio mode to ADF? By default, it's set to ANT. If you leave it to ANT, the needles will not work.

The official AOM states you are not to allow the autopilot to fly the aircraft at or below 50ft AGL on approach. So the autopilot and yaw damper needs to be disconnected at that point or earlier.

The Autopilot status lights on the MCP are dimmed because you have your DIGITS rheostat on the overhead panel turned all the way down. It's right under the de-ice panel. The heading dial that is on the pitch wheel is spring centered. You need to click, drag a short distance left or right and hold, and you will see the heading bug move. The longer you hold it, the more it moves. To stop it moving, you simply need to let go of the mouse button. The Vertical Speed works exactly the same way. You can identify each one by the cursor that is displayed. Up/Down arrow is Vertical Speed. 2 arrows making a circle is the Heading.

Can you post a screenshot of the GPS as it is so we can see what is being displayed.

Normally turn it on after engine start or after resetting the generators. I have to admit guilt on that since I was going through the virtual checklist and didn't bring that to Jim's attention. I've started this thing so many times and have gotten so used to it, a lot more could have been missing from the checklist and I probably would have missed them.

Need to turn on your inverter a bit sooner in that first video. And that Autopilot giving you some grief, huh? Enjoyed watching it though. Very interesting seeing it when someone else is flying it.

Many times, context can get lost through text. Particularly if English is your second language. Cameron is 1 of the nicest people I know and it's a privelage to call him my friend. If you knew his personality a little bit more, you would see that as well. Let's just move forward.

"arb" We won't lock threads without a valid reason. Usually, it's because things begin to get out of hand. I mean no hostility when I say this, but when people come in these support forums and start suggesting to others that they modify certain areas of the flight model just to stop a very minor thing from doing something they think it should not be doing...especially when it's an add on as complex as this...it does get very frustrating. Modifying 1 area can very well end up breaking 10 other different areas. I have mentioned it in the "PLEASE READ THIS" thread, that people who choose to modify ANY part of the aircraft, they are voiding any support they are entitled to. That can be a very big issue for us as there is nothing to stop that person or people from lying about changing something...then we can't reproduce the problem, and we are stuck with what to do to help...leading to many hours of wasted time. I have spent many MONTHS fine tuning just the engines with Jim writing thousands of lines of code around what I was doing, and then Jim putting the finishing touches in the flight model. When a part of the engine would not work, we would literally go back to the beginning and start again. Even changing the transmission losses could very well have an impact on the entire engine system because the code is referencing specific parameters of EVERY part of the engine specs within Planemaker. It really cannot be stressed enough to those people that choose to modify files. DO NOT change any part of the acf file or anything else in the package that pertains to the aircraft's functionality. If you do, you do so at your own risk of "breaking" something. It will only cause headaches for everyone involved. If there are problems, tell us, and we will research it and fix it if it needs to be fixed. Happy Flying.

When a developer starts delving into "extreme realism", other software can have unpredictable results when trying to work together. In cases like this, it MAY make more sense for the XACARS guys to find areas in their software to accommodate certain areas of a plug in. That way, it's more of a universal solution for more people that depend on their software.

Please make sure you did a GENERATOR reset...not a BATTERY reset. The batteries don't have a reset position. They have an OVRD position. The GEN reset will spring the gen switch back to ON.

I'll post back after running some tests.

Need a little more information. Is it just ADF? Is it every navaid? If not, which navaid(s) is this happening at? Are you tuned to ADF when selecting the ADF knob? (You might be surprised how many people get this wrong.) Is the RMI needle indicating direction to a VOR or ADF? (confirm with the rabbit ears on the lower left/right of the RMI) A screenshot would help a lot.

Kris Leen De Jager, who did some of the repaints for the Saab, is a mod at avsim. Perhaps shoot him a PM through these forums and ask him if he can shed some light on the subject. In the meantime, what is your username over there and I can check to see your status in your profile.

Unique? You better believe it. There's a reason Saab are now making military aircraft. Just a sidenote, don't forget to hold the autopilot switch for at least 1-2 seconds (just like the real aircraft) or it will not engage. Saab 340 safety measure.
