Hey Planeman95, I don't think it is specifically linked to 11.31 version. Indeed I'm runninng 11.30 final version and I had this msg error as well all of a sudden, it was doing well but now I got the same windows popping up from time to time with the TBM900... Can't figure it out so far...

Tks for your anwser Jakob! Indeed it makes sense that at high speeds the rain willl be blew away, but I meant that there is no sign of rain on the windshield even at low speeds in short final for exemple, except on the ground but that's ok, I just watched the video, tks for sharing, it looks very promising! Very good effects increasing when precipation get more dense, can't wait for that! Happy landings

Hi guys, I've noticed that I don't have any rain effect anymore even if of course the options are checked in TBM option and windshield effects allowed in xplane. No matter if I did use FSGWR and now the greatest Active sky xp beta SP1 (released today) I just have some droplets sometimes on my winshield but only on the ground and the amount of rain on the windshield is very very tiny compared to heavy rainy weather outside like today at LFRG for instance, same at any spots on earth by the way... Any idea? Running Xplane 11.30 final version Thank you, Lkn

I've already opened a thread about it... I just loaded my bird too much in a back so the tail got hurt badly ... and after 41.5 hours without any failure (it hurts guys hh) and same as before, it won't repair and remain "very worn" means that I can't fly over FL100 anymore. Any solution to repair and get the cabine pressure "like new" or less without getting a new airframe but at least still flyable over FL100 ? I think that a new airframe put the hours of flights to zero, isn't it, it doesn't keep the book flight, am I wrong? (which will be cool) because changing the airframe look like "buying" a new one, right? "very worn" despite maintenance should change the status? or does it means that it is the same as the real aircraft that once it get hurt in its structure then you have to buy an other one? Maybe that can't be fixed in reality, I have no idea about the real aircraft concerning that matter, so it may be simulated like the real one or perhaps it's a bug? I'd like to know because each time (not often tks) I had this issue or this incident I had to buy a new one, it starts to cost a lot to my bank account if I wanna fly over 10 000ft! Love this bird!!!

Hi Jakob, To get such an amount of ice, I used the free plugin : https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/48460-icing-simulator-the-complete-edition/ It's a very good idea but it seems a little bit exagerated at some points, it happened that I had 10 times more of layers of ice on my wings (maybe 1 meter, too often) so I had to uninstall the plug but I'll give an other try, I think it's posssible to modify some datarefs but not sure...

Tks!

Hi Captains, Look what happened after just 20 min of flying in a vfr flight in the circuit! At the second go around I had to make an emergency landing because of ice, almost stall in short final rwy 5 at PASA! It was by night (real time) I just put on daylight to show you the ice accumulation on the wings and on visible parts of the airframe!!! LOVE THAT BIRD!!!

Hi Captain cbreeze! Thank you very much for this precious reliable information, you just save my pilot virtual's life!!! I was about to take off to make a test flight at PASA by night! So that I have no choice than to sell my bird, she just cannot bring me back to France by flying over Himalaya as it was planned... I mean if now she is condanmed not to fly over FL130, what can I do with her if it's not to put her in the market place for a very low price! Indeed I understand you feel concerned about pressure vessel fails, we shall! See my snap bellow to set your destination fiel elevation 1 clik on SYSTEM 2 click on FMS LFE and it will set the altitude automatically as you can see it's written in the CABINE PRESS informations and details you can even set your altitude manually by just clicking on MAN LFE if need be.

Great! I'm doing a long flight from PAHO (Alsaka) to LFQQ (Lille, France) but heading from East to West, so not sure if I'll be able to fly over Himalaya... At PASA right now with a MAYDAY MAYDAY MADAY just after take off with a rudder trim and elevator trim linkage in very bad conditions, have to be replaced but no maintenance services at this airport! I gotta rent an other aircraft to fly back to PAEM, then fly a cargo to bring a new elevator and a new rudder trim.... what a bad day! it has a price ! Next leg PASA/UHMA !
-
Sure! I did! Concerning my first post, the cabine pressure vessel "worn" was due to a crash landing! That bird is so enjoyable to fly by the way, it demands real attention! LOVE IT SO BADLY!!!

Ok pilots thanks for your replies but it looks like we still don't know what could happen in the sim if we fly at FL200 for exemple with "worn" cabine pressure vessel I'm making a long flight from PAHO (Alsaka) to LFQQ (Lille, France) but heading from East to West, so not sure if I'll be able to fly over Himalaya... At PASA right now with a MAYDAY MAYDAY MADAY just after take off with a rudder trim and elevator trim linkage in very bad conditions, have to be replaced but no maintenance services at this airport! I don't even know how did I get into troubles like that? I gotta rent an other aircraft to fly back to PAEM, then fly a cargo to bring a new elevator and a new rudder trim.... what a bad day! it has a price !

Interesting sharing, tks !... I'm struggling with take off as well "j'ai mangé de la verte" many times! (French pilot's quote when you miss your take off and end up in the green grass) I'll give a try to this technique mentionned in the post to make it better...

Hi Captains, This beautiful bird still gives me cold sweats, I love it day and night! Well, I just crashed at LFRG on landing, no victime on scene... my flare was done like a beginner (even a beginner I wish he'll do better) so that I stalled at 40ft from the touch down and could'nt recover despite of increasing my speed but didn't have enough power to go around... Verdict: It cost the airline $850 000 to repair her! I guess I'll be fired for sure... But before getting in the bus to go home, I'd like to know if there is an opportunity to fly over 10 000 ft without getting a cabine pressure issue as it happened to me once (which makes twice in total now) even after a replacement of the cabine pressure vessel, it is still on "worn" . Does it mean that she is condamned to fly bellow FL 100 for ever? which will be a heavy justification for the airline to put me away of its schedules! Tks, Lkn

I definitly second that!

https://www.aopa.org/-/media/Files/AOPA/Home/Pilot Resources/ASI/Safety Advisors/sa22.pdf From my experiences in real flights I will active prop ice before speed starts to decrease if I have the first clues of severe icing conditions that I go through (or will go through in a minute) ... if icing conditions are not too bad then I won't but you got to make sure that your analyse is reliable based on correct elements and information in order to apply the right action as required, the more you anticipate better it is especially in very dangerous icing aeras... So that if by accident you get into icing clouds (not a real big problem in IFR with this bird that is certified but... always a but in aviation hhh ) then u want to active prop ice, again if u feel that it's necessary if need be or not or if icing conditions are very explicite then you do the right things. It's always better to have a cost of fuel added, to land late without any unneccesary pressure (commercial ones for instance) than to loose your life and the one of your pax. I do know that we are in a sim here but let's play the "game" as if it was real like in the real world, real pilots or passionated simmers! :-) What is great is that Xplane worked hard to give a realistic way of the impact of ice on your airframe etc, and if addons play the game as well then it beome so cool and tremendously exciting! TBM 900 X-aviation on top of that, it's a go without any hesitation for the sake of realism... I got hit by ice twice heavly I mean (I got hit by ice so many times but with a tiny amount) anyway it's funny and so enjoyable in front of the sim but it gives cold sweats in real certainly when your speed starts to decrease drastically, you don't want to feel your CG nuts, you don't want to feel your bird heavier than planned so you don't have a lot of time to react if it's not too late for those who unfortunately encountered this terrible experience till the end! There are a lot of videos online very instructive in this matter, highly recommended by the way... Again anticipation is your best co-pilot especially for a single pilot on board... knowing that a good and rigorous weather check and double-triple-check is your best ally which is an obligation and a duty for your safety and the one of your pax, all of this without any useless pressure in order to cancel your flight if need be or if it's possible to avoid icing weather conditions in flight... Don not forget that your gorgeous TBM 900 is a one single engine so that if you start to loose your power it doesn't sound safe and good at all and it means that you already missed something crucial... means that a stall is waiting for you not that far behind and u really don't want that. Hope it helps a little bit, fly safe captain! Lkn

I just made a LFQQ/EBBR back and forth with the new update. Everything works fine and even better on my side, so smooth which I wish for everybody! Strangely I don't have any bugs mentioned on the previous posts I just read... ? I mean I didn't notice (in my home cockpit) any issue with the throttle/power by the way... I could maintain all the speed required in any phase of flight as recommended by applying hands action so... ? The particle effect is just amazing, heatblur woaaa I love it , never seen that at this level, same for the ice effect... What surprise me very positively is that I have no hit at all on my fps, 30/35 in overcast over Bruxelles (big and dense city) no micro stutters with all the new technologies and the myriad of deep details and stuff provided from this outstanding addon so that THANK YOU so much for bringing us so much fun and tks for the good philosophy of such a realism never reached so far! God job Captains, big respect for that! Lkn

Speechless!!!! (that's the word that could illustre my point, my deep feeling) after 7,7 hours of flying the TBM 900, I'm just speechless! Just an amazing addon! I have no word so much I was waiting for this kind of addon especially when you fly for real you know so well how much you have to take care of everything... who could imagine 10 years ago (even less) that we will have such a realistic airplane in a sim ? Yeap there are the A2A (very great job, no doubt), REP/Simcoders good job on the very good way, we also have the fantastic SF 260 Jrollon very creative, very realistic but here we now have the TBM 900: an other story... CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CREATIVE X-AVIATION TEAM! (captain's speaking) ! Have a safe flight Pilots, enjoy the TBM 900! (un avion français yeaaaaaaah) Lkn LFQQ PPL, PP, CPL in progress Big big fan of sims

Yeap without wt3 it gets back to very good fps and very smooth on my side... Stuck because I had accumulated fuel residue and try to figure it out... first day on this great addon!

I read that deleting the AL helps and it does, it gets back to normal.. woaaa this bird gives cold sweats so much I want to fly her right now, so excited, I'll make a fligh test right now!

I just followed your precious advice and it looks like it gets back to normal.... I'll make a test flight right now

Hi guys, I used to have 30/40 fps in average in any conditions with all the payware I have so far...30 when it's overcast and 40 even more in other conditions. I just bought the TBM and my FPS are stuck at 20 fps and get down to 15/16 ?!?? What's going on? It's just unflyable. I didn't even take off, I just can't fly with so low fps. Can't be my settings again I don't have stutters or drop fsp with the machine I have, so I'm kind of worry. Any helps ? Tks PS: it looks like I have the last version, I just bought it
-
Why my fps are stuck at 20 ??? and even decreasing to 16/18 ?!!! It can't be! I use to have 30/40 30 fps in overcast big city, around 40 for other conditions... I certainly missed something, sorry my first step on the TBM
