  1. Hi Muchimi, on the other thread you mentioned you have the experimental flight model checked. That may be the biggest part of the problems you are having, because I don't think the TBM support this.
  2. So now you got me... I have not much experience with version 1.1.6, haven't had the time to do more than a test flight with it and for sure I noticed a different behavior in control. Now that you mentioned you had better landings before 1.1.6 I hope I will not feel the same after I get back to flying it.
  3. This has been discussed many times and a lot of helpful information can be found in the support forum. I for my part have no more problems with ground handling, takeoff or landing. But I needed some practice to get there and also I had to get rid of some bad habits like stop 'flying' the airplane immediately after touchdown.
  4. Hi ChuckO, to completely remove your previous TBM installation you also have to delete the TBM folder in /xplane/output. Then you will have a virgin installation and nothing should be left over.

    NO CALLOUT!

You mean a radar altitude callout? Unfortunately radar altitude is not modelled in the Hotstart TBM900.
  6. It's correct, although I thought this is called "revisionary mode". You want it to be in that mode preventively in case you loose one of your displays during critical monitoring phase of your startup procedure.
  7. I don't think your problem is in any way connected to the TBM900. You may want to post this in another forum section.
  8. You're welcome! There's a lot of little things simulated just like the real thing, so there's a lot which possibly can go wrong. And that's fantastic, imho.
  9. You need to realign the instrument. Press the M key repeatedly until the text above says "Align", then presd the S key to start the alignment. You should do this while being stationary on the ground.
  10. Yes, same for me. Guess we all have to adapt to the changed input forces needed.
  11. Just finished my last flight for the weekend, EDAH to LOWS. Stormy conditions made for a very 'interesting' approach, RNAV Y to runway 33 with a 10 knots crosswind gusting much higher. Almost crashed my new airframe. Again, thanks to the Hotstart team for all the little things you add with each update. The "vertical track" audio and the message "Tod within 1 min" on the PFD (this is also new i think?) are really a great help and another step towards 'as real as it gets'! Oh, and did somebody notice the smoke googles under the pilots seat? Is this a sneak peak about what's to come?

  13. Don't miss the fun part ferrying it from the factory to your home!
  14. Just to confirm, I noticed the strange movement of the pointer too. Sorry I have no log file but if requested I can create one. I think it's a constant thing.
  15. Have you tried to reset the generator? EDIT: And make to switch back the source to BATT after a GPU start.
  16. My spare part arrived today and the mechanics are just mounting it... Regarding the issues reported, that seems to be more on the MAC and Linux side. You should be good to go with a Windows system. I have done 3 flights now without issue, it´s working fine for me.
  17. Thanks! But now I wonder why did i notice such a difference in ground steering after the first update this morning? EDIT: Disregard, it think it was myself messing up my joystick profiles after the 11.32 update I did yesterday.
  18. Known issue. (see the update thread in the support forum)
  19. Mine too. But on second startup the message appeared.
  20. Confirmed, have this message too.
  21. First flight went well! Now I have to look for a rainy place to discover the new rain effects. I have noticed the TBM reacts much faster with rudder inputs on the ground. Seems I have to adapt my profiles and muscle memory.
  22. Something to play around with for the weekend, thank you guys!
  23. No, you're over-complicating it, it's really easy. You just map the two commands mentioned by Shinjo to buttons, so that you have one button fur "up" and one for "down". To get the throttle from cutoff to flight idle you press your "up" button 3 times, to get back to cutoff you press "down" 3 times. From low idle to cutoff it's, think you know it alreay, "down" button pressed 1 time. Hope that was comprehensible.

    Regular hotstarts

And make sure no residual fuel is left in the combustion chamber.
  25. Isn't the GS based on GPS? I would say the carrier does 29 knots. Edit: Wait a minute, did you just put your TBM down on a carrier? Impressive!
