  1. Paah who needs an installer? Just give me the damn files, i will put them into the right folders by myself ;D
  2. My rough guess is: 40 - 100.000$ Hopefully it stays below 50$. I would pay 35-45$ without hesitating. Maybe we get some sort of early buyers discount
  3. If only it would cost 30$ :-[ I would really like to have it, but with the upcoming CRJ release, which will be for sure very expansive, i just can't afford both. Well i could, but both fit into the same role although the Dash can transport more people and is a little bit bigger. But those 40 bucks are just a bit too much, for only getting eye-candy. At least thats the impression i got from it, when reading posts about it. :-[
  4. Hmm, i'm a bit wondering about the formula you used to get the distance for the descend. Page 42 of the tutorial: Altitude Difference = 24,000 - 10,000 = 14,000 (we need descent 14,000 feet) 14,000/1,000 = 14 14 x 3 = 32 At first, it has to be 42NM But i always calculated it differently, and yet i was always right to nearly perfection. My formula is as followed: (Current FL - FL to reach) / 3 = NM needed So in your example it would be (240-100)/3 = 46.67 NM Nearly 5 NM difference is pretty huge, i would say.
  5. A small note from me, while reading through the first one. Not simulated systems should be red. The ADG is mentioned on page 30 to be not simulated, while on the following page 31 middle of the first paragraph it's written in black, as if it were there. For consistency it should/could be written in red too.
  6. @Cameron Args, yeah always these small little tiny texts : Guess i was too exited to get the manuals
  7. What happened to the "Bombardier CRJ200" Livery? :-\ And you said, there were 3 Manuals, but there are only 2 included in the zip file. Edit: Ah ok, it's still there (in the manual) so it's only missing on the website. Puuuh, was afraid i had to do the ferry flight not in the CRJ200 livery ;D
  8. Honestly, i would have been surprised if an announcement, that is related to the CRJ, was made true. ;D
  9. Of course i do. But it's so funny to see those 2004 aircrafts and sceneries compared to X-Plane 9. They look so "freeware". At least this CRJ.
  10. OMG! I don't know why, but this plane looks like a freeware. And when i first scrolled through and read "iconbar" i was about to laugh! What is this? A real try to simulate a plane, or a toy you can fly?
  11. I'm pretty sure it will be Cameron or one of it's admins on X-Aviation. They have still 6 hours to go (although they don't have summer time, so it's only 5 hours left for them). However, we waited more than two years for it, so what are one or two weeks more? It would have been fantastic if they could/would have released it within the easter holidays, but i'm not even sure, if something like this exists in the US or where ever they life.
  12. @flyinhawaiian Maybe you were "too slow" but your route saves me about 200NM. Gonna fly this ;D
  13. You really should get the components by yourself and then build the pc. I don't know the us prices, but 2700 dollars are ~1800 €. If i would buy all the components by myself i would end up with a sum of about 1200 €. And i'm pretty sure, you can save a few hundred bucks too, if you don't buy a prebuild one. I had my CPU clocked to 4.5GHz for a week. But dropped it back to only 4GHz since i don't even have games, that need so much power. Plus running the CPU on those speeds really eats into their lifespan. 1.35V for the core is not so good, but on the other side: who uses his pc longer than 3 years? And for the graphics: a 580 or even a 590 are way toooo expansive. The 570 is already not a good choice any more, considering that you pay way more but you get only 10% more performance compared to a 560. And more than 8GB RAM is not necessary.
  14. Since the CRJ needs Navigraph data i bought the latest cycle and then downloaded Goodway v4. I used http://www.gcmap.com to get possible airports within a range of 1600-1800nm. Then checked their runway length and chose one of them. Afterwardsi used Goodway to get a route. I'm not sure if they are valid, but who cares There will be not much ATC anyways, so.... So my route is now with 2 stops. CYMX (Mirabell) -> BGSF (Kangar Lussuaq) -> EGAA (Belfast) -> EDDM (Munich)
  15. Hmmm, the official pages says 1345nm. 55 passengers, each 100kg in weight plus max fuel. And talking about the real one: where is it built? I am planning on doing a ferry flight from its' production facility to munich, where it then gets it's Lufthansa paint ;D
  16. I upgraded too, two weeks ago. Vista Ultimate 64bit ASUS Rampage Formular III E8500 @3.6GHz 4GB 1066DDR2 Zotac GTX260c216 AMP2 to Win7 Professional 64bit ASUS P8P67 Pro i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz 8GB 1333DDR3 MSI GTX570 TwinFrozr II (aaarggs! and now they have an TwinFrozr III available > Card came about 1,5 weeks earlier, so no chance to return it). But sadly XP9 doesn't profit from it at all. I'm getting about the same FPS (80 while flying, 35 on ground at EDDM apron 3), but instead of using 2 cores to 100% it only uses 1 core width 100%. 3 others are idle, or doing other little things with 2-3% load. The only real advantage is that the loading time of XP9 has been reduced from 3-5 minutes, to only 30 seconds or so (not measured, just a feeling). I really hope, that the buildings are not drawn by the CPU again with XP10 or the system will be a "total waste of money" considering XP. I mean, shouldn't i get at least more FPS on airports? The new card has 2-3 times the power of the old one, and still only getting 5-10% more FPS :-\ At least, the CRJ will run perfect... And concerning the topic: Flying a lot with the MU again. Had to declare "Pan Pan" yesterday near EDDS since FADEC wasn't working on right engine any more. Was like flying with crosswind all the time. Having independent throttle leverlers would helped, but since i got a X52 Pro it synced both engines over and over then i changes the throttle. I really like how you have to correct a lot this little baby when landing. Not like those 738's that need nearly no input to land.
  17. And it must be a max crosswind landing. I mean, look at the tail. Max yaw......and pitch also. ;D
  18. My first one was "Hellcats" on a Mac II SE ( ) with keyboard. Then there was "X-Wing" ( ) with one of those Flightstick Pro things, we bought in the US.Followed by "F/A-18 Hornet Korea" with a Voodoo Card (w00t). And "Falcon 4.0", which i never really played, just flying around. And then there was "X-Plane" 6 to 9. Not that many, but i was Mac-User until 3 years ago, so there wasn't really much to get.
  19. I like the idea of having to calculate my TOD or watch my speed. Since i never had a FMC that did more than just providing LNAV, i always had to get those data by myself. And it worked perfect 98% of the time. I even flew all the holdings by hand, with all it's different enterings, like teardrop and so on. All i used was HDG, ALT, rates and APP, when flying the "big" ones. I always fly the MU and x738 with me setting the thrust manually and i don't have a problem with it. The MU doesn't support it, at least never got it to work, and the x738 or other planes are just too sensitive, when there is a small gust when cruising. I hate it, when the engines go from 79% to 82% to 80% to 81% to 83%... So i'm setting it to 80% and all is fine. Having a FMC that can fly departures and holding is a huge step forward, at least for me And hopefully, i have to read the manual, cause most aircrafts are just way to simple to handle, expept the B17. Just can't get it to fly. I always crash when loading in flight or bearly make it into the air because i can't steer on ground, even after watching all those vids. :-\
  20. I would have said, that the second is the real one. Why? Because you forgot to photoshop the registration number, which is a french one
  21. Honestly, when i read, that it was dead, i was somehow relieved. This project made so much progress in the first weeks, just to see it die slowly and abandoning hope after it was "delayed" for the 3rd time (i know, there was never a release date mentioned, but i reference all these "hopefully dezember" and following posts). I wasn't even watching the board anymore and only stumbled over the thread by accident. However, what i really want to say: DAMN YOU! Now that i know taht this bird is goiing live withing a month, the waiting time will be horrible. I noticed how much i want this plane, when i read it. There are really few things, that make me smile, but man, you made me smlie for 5 minutes! All i need now is XP10 so i can utilize my 4x4.5GHz i5 and N570GTX. Args damn you guys, i hate and love you for this news! ;D >

  23. One thing i found kinda cool, was the visible condensed air at the left tip of the CRJ ;D (4:36)

Same :-\ Hate that copyright stuff ;D
  25. This fixed my problem with the lightning i had (see page 18 of "what did you fly today?"). So i gave this bird a try. And i was really surprised how it flew. I put in fuel and some payload, so it had a weight of 400000lbs but i could climb with 4000+fpm without losing speed at all. And the approach speed was 110, with slight nose up, like 2° or so, full flaps. With 120 knots, i already had negative degrees Is this really the way an A332 is flying? It feels like it has to much power and way too much lift. I know 400000 isn't the max payload, but it just feels really wierd. :-\
