  1. Hey hello I also plan to make a new computer for times to come, not now for sure. I made a little Open Office document to see what would be the FASTEST home built PC for now, with best parts aviable. it cost about 3600 € ( about 5000 $ ) less expensive than the best Alien Wares with better parts. the fastest CPU, and GPU; If you're interested, take a look . I'll save for one or two years, then buy the best parts aviable in 2012 - 2013. Keep in mind, Austin said it himself, " There isn't any kind of computer that could run XP 10 full setting at high FPS for the moment and probably in the years to come ". If you want a realistic AI, with 10-15 ACF around, you'll need a 10/15 Core CPU to run fine.. something doesn't exist yet. But I don"t worry, I'm used to enjoy a sim, even with medium or low setting, I have currently a bit old 2009 mid range Laptop, running XP9 not very well.. Take a look what I want : Damn ! I can't upload Open Office files ..
  2. Yes, I really looking for it, it's now my most wanted release ! A top notch DC-3 and XP 10.. sweet
  3. Interesting, I haven't flown that one for a while !
  4. Yes I know that, but in X-Plane it's impossible .. When the starter is pressed, mags are automatically turned to both, it's hard coded, I think there is no way to change that but about shutdown, that's interesting, these Hamilton Props are quite heavy ones, whith plenty of inertia.
  5. Yeah nice feautures to manage engines ! But for visual immersion ,just look at that : I've count 17 Second to start and when the engine is killed, the prop took 12 Second to stop !! Start [0.00 - 0.30 ] Shutdown [ 2.30 - 2.48 ] Best regards, I really enjoy all your work !
  6. Hello Lukasz, very excitting !! Does the delay are correct ? I mean, for example, does it take a quite long time ( 8-12 s ) of pressing the starter before the engine fires up, and that the prop turn slowly like the real one, giving a feeling of heavy and high inertia prop, as well as at shutdown ( time between fuel doesn't come anymore to the carburettor and when the prop completely stop ). In the real life, I've seen several DC-3 that, when they shut down the engine, the prop take about 8-10 second to stop from idle engine RPM. That gives a good feeling of realism. Arno 54 spent many times to tweak that on his B-17, and it do the job ! Good luck.
  7. Mm.. My sweet flight online with Alfredo Himself !! He is a really skilled pilot on X-Plane ( probably in real life ) Unfortunately, our connection wasn't enough fast to keep a very fluid transmission.. but was very great, way more than online flight on FS !

    DreamFoil Creations Releases Robinson R22

Yes !! I would add, here is my review :-) Enjoy it ! http://xplane10.wordpress.com/2011/10/17/dreamfoil-robinson-r22-first-impressions-pt-ii/
  9. Yes Cameron You'rr true .. My Laptop is getting age xD ! Dreamin of a new I7 995X with ATI 6990 config ... Hey Arti, you're interesting me, I will try to contact you via PM to don't pollute that thread, for you explain me about OSM... now I go to bed, Regards, Valentin.
  10. Yes, after hours of flying, I confirm, really psoitive feeling get out of the global experience ! The only drawback is that I get some frequent " Freeze ", it's very smooth, but sometimes the screen is just freezed for 1 or 2 seconds, maybe a wrong parameter somewhere..
  11. Hello, I really love your work, I'm wondering myself if in the future ( X-Plane 10 time ) it could have an update with 3D building like the Magnum P.I house ^^ Regards, Valentin
  12. Hello Lukasc No, I didn't tried him, just find it less beautiful.. But from What I've heard, the flight model is just .. lovely ! I should give it a try one day. Carenado is not the king about Flight Model, they really should start to think about it, X-Plane is not FSX, a graphic showcase... If they make the X-Plane flight model reputation decrease ..
  13. Hey, hello ! I bought it today and love it ! First time I see on Carenado's product a kind of " Genuine X-Plane GA ACF ", the prop is now like every other prop in X-Plane ( they turn accordingly to the compression of the engine ) whereas on planes like 152 or Saratoga, it looked like FS engine-prop animation ( when starting and shutdown ). About 152, the Flight Model is actually Off, I fly the real one quite often, they are quite easy to get in voluntary spins, in X-Planes, that is just impossible ..
  14. Mm i didn't know those guys are medically OK to fly something, I thought with all their injuries, and bone break, they would get a waiver .. lol But with money, you could do that you want :-)
  15. Oh Ok ! Nice thought. I'll follow it development, a bit less than the DC-3 ;-)
  16. Hello everyone, I am finally interested in that Saab, I would like to see some shots of the plane, in sim. Where can I go ? I went to " Official In Sim previews " but only saw a couple of shots. Regards, Valentin.
  17. Lol Gjalp, don't worry, I also make 1,92 m, and no problem, even in a Cessna C152, so, in a DC-3...
  18. Hello Steven The Duchess use default X-Plane piston sounds for sure, look at my threads : I also agree, I'm a beta tester of incoming DreamFoil R-22, that use his own plugin, the dream engine, used by the R22, as well as the 206. It's very immersive, the sound are managed by a physical engine, it react almost like the real life, blade slap happen when it should, sound are 3d spacialized ( exemple, tail rotor sound better heard around the tail rotor etc.. ) In my opinion, a legendary aircraft such the DC-3 really should benefits serious sounds ! Varios sounds for starter, ignition, first explosion, different RPM, shutdown etc.. but not only high quality like in FSX, high quality sounds that sounds like what we see..
  19. Yes, but it's only can work, because I've taken those sound from a already great working ACF? the Beech Baron 58.. I changed the sounds of the B-17 and it's awesome, tweaking the parameter in plane maker about " at which speed the sounds were recorded " to match about the real sounds, If you're interested Arno, I could let you hear them.
  20. Hello, yes, I already done all that you said before but no success.. it should be something different, cause I changed already other sounds from other aircrafts and it worked.. Thanks thought
  21. Hello, I often fly this wonder, but the sounds are a bit boring and too much linear, it seems it's the same as the default piston engine sound in X-Plane. I would change them with other, for my personnal use, I tried with the Baron 58 sound, which are great quality sounds. But anything I do, I've always the defaults sounds, even with creating a " sound " folder in the ACF main folder. Maybe something to tweak in PM ? Thanks a lot !
  22. MM affordable .. not too much. The Warthog ( jostick + throttle ) I paid it 360 € ( about 500 $ ) plus the saitel pedals ( 240 $ ) then the joystick extension than I haven't got yet ( he sell them 75 $ ) Quite expensive but the Warthog is so high quality, made of metal, with many switches, hat, push buttons etc .. Two throttle levers etc .. Infinite possibilites to assign controls. For examples, I use two 2 pos switch ( ON/OFF ) one for battery switch, the other for generator, an other 2 pos switch for Avionic, a push switch for starter ( need to hold pressure to maintain starter, nice for Bell 206 start ) a 3 pos Switch for autopilot control, a hat for heading change, an other hat for attitude change, an other hat for view position changing, an other hat for ground speed acceleration, a push button for Rotorbrake, a 2 pos switch for Landing Light, a pushing hat for beacon light etc ... So much possibilities with the TARGET software ( programmation software, you can do all with it, not like the limited Saitek SST ) And it use a resolution of 65536 X 65536 different values, so a very high resolution control, just for comparison, the X52 got 512 X 512 values .. The only bad point I found him was the strenght, it was built for the A-10 Warthog, and a strong spring is loaded to maintain a hard feeling on the stick, so, a longer shaft will " fix " that, for helicopter, reducing the inertia moments and increasing precision in all travel. I'm impatient to get that extension ! But the guy doesn'y built them for the moment, I'll have to wait a little bit.
  23. Yes Frequent Flyer, I agree with you, control hardware set up is very important I have a nice Thrustmaster Warthog ( High Quality metal joystick with very high resolution ) with Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals. I plan to get the stick extension mod : http://www.warthogworld.com/hangar/content.php?9-Warthog-Stick-Extension
  24. What the Hell ?! Where those pict comes from ^^ When I asked him a while ago he said it was an airliner so.. Lol, for sure, that is a Helicopter from UH-1 series, maybe not the Vietnam War era Huey but maybe the UH-1Y Venom .. I recognize that due to the windshields ( windows ) http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/042/3/7/rtaf_bell_uh_1_iroquois_by_sudro-d39c7sa.jpg
