  1. Yeah, I think he can not create new threads yet (his first post)...so I let it go uncommented ;-)
  2. Hey Morten, great to see you chime in! I will take this up with Austin in a little bit, right now we are on his case to fix the too rapid N2 rise after fuel is injected. You know him, it is better to feed him stuff one after the other ;-) All the best, Jan
  3. That may be the missing condition - I will check the code. As for the GS deflection, I can verify this with DATA OUT, I think there is a field for glideslope deviation.
  4. Thanks for testing this, Jude. Let´s see what Tom can find out!
  5. What country are you dialing in from, and what internet provider do you use?
  6. You have many critical plugins in your installation (SAM, Xjet, XPRealistic, Terrain radar, VFR hungary, ...) Remove all third party plugins and scenery with plugins, then try again, please.
  7. Hmm - can you post the log.txt from your X-Plane main folder after it crashed? Thanks!
  8. Looks good! I am out of ideas, I will file this bug and hopefully Tom can figure out why this only happens to some people...
  9. I have seen this, too - I am not sure how the real world deals with this, I believe there will be very poor reception on the upwind side so the GS doesnt show. But I don´t know if there is any code to "suppress" a GS warning if the aircraft is on the upwind side in the real GPWS? If an ILS is tuned and the plane is sufficiently below the GS, the warning will play. We are not doing anything with the glideslope as transmitted by X-Plane. Procedures will differ between airliners, but we never tuned the ILS for departure, unless it was part of the SID navigation (like at Marseille or Orly).
  10. Well, the log you posted has a bunch of plugins loaded (including the 767), that is why I was asking...
  11. Can you please post your log.txt file here so we can troubleshoot it?
  12. I agree that the labeling of the lights are a tad confusing - they simply say that the engine generator is not powering the bus (for whatever reason). They do not say that the generators aren´t working or that the buses are not powered. In general it can be said that you want those lights to NOT be on if you are flying the aircraft, although there can be certain MEL or non-normal conditions (one engine generator inop) where you would see that (if the APU is powering the bus associated with the failed generator). Cheers, Jan
  13. And you have to do it for 30 seconds, too - so it is important to let the tower know beforehand, or this will send the next approaching aircraft into a go-around. I also made an announcement to my passengers (and crew) so they would not worry because the engines are roaring but the plane isn´t going.
  14. Thanks for helping out with this, guys!
  15. That statement is not true, unfortunately. X-Plane 12 is a very different beast. I see you load the 767 during the same session, does the problem still happen if you ONLY fly the IXEG in the same session?
  16. Hi Jim, thanks for the report, I will do those flights and see if I can reproduce your issue! Is there a chance that the wind was fluctuating on your descent? Did it look like the plane was chasing the value it was supposed to keep (i.e. the vertical speed) or did it stray from the set value by it´s own (inappropriate) inputs? Thanks again, Jan
  17. The ones that ring an alarm bell in my head are SAM, XJet, Marginal Ground traffic. Also your VTBD scenery is creating tons of errors.
  18. Yes, PM is woefully undocumented, but it is not a feature that gets the same exposure as X-Plane itself. It is considered to be a tool for experts that follow along with what is new and changed...not something that a total layman jumps into. I think I know my way around aircraft pretty good, but it has me scratching my head all the time, too.
  19. You cant use the plane if you failed the Level-2 check. You have to wait until a fix is available.
  20. You are suffering from the Level-2 check failed syndrome. We are working on a fix, stay tuned for further news (hopefully soon!).
  21. You are running numerous plugins that are known to be problematic - I think you will keep getting crashes unless you remove them.
  22. You could try to download it somewhere else - maybe take your laptop to somewhere they have WLAN or maybe go online with your phone or such?
  23. Please do so - it is what I have used to tune performance ;-) I agree on the ground effect thing - it does strike us seemingly more than the default 737-800, might be a geometry thing. If I make the nose more "heavy" on rotation you would be unable to pull it past 10 degrees until out of the ground effect - the landings one can get used to, but you need to be ready for the nose wanting to drop (more than on the real aircraft). I might take this up with Austin, but got him busy on the N2 acceleration during engine start for now ;-) Try taxiing again on a verifiably flat area - I find that even a bit of slope plays a huge role. The 737 starts rolling on my side at idle power up to 50 tons of weight, as it should. Cheers, Jan
