    Recently, I have experienced severe stuttering with x-plane 10. So much that it is not flyable now. I have used the same rendering setup for well over a year now with no problems until now. I have tried numerous planes and x-plane continues to stutter with all of them. My driver is up to date. I even tried going back a few drivers and still experienced the same issue. I am wondering if 10.41 or 10.42 has caused this? Is anyone experiencing the same issues? I am attaching my log file if that helps. John PS I forgot to mention, I am getting fine FPS so that should not be the issue. Log.txt

    After further examination, it appears that all of southern California drops the airport elevation for all the airports. I have tried removing all the airports near San Diego to no effect. It must be some type of terrain I have added that has caused this problem. What would be the best way to figure out what terrain has caused this if it did not come from the surrounding airports? Thanks for any help anyone can offer. John

    Interesting! I tried it and you are right. However, I have never had that box checked before and San Diego worked before 10.40. Thank you for your quick assistance. I greatly appreciate it. John

    I just downloaded the latest version of xplane 10 (10.40). When I went to San Diego, I saw this - see attached - the airport is like in a major sinkhole. Is this a problem with the latest version? Has anyone else experienced this? I removed the San Diego airport that I had and still experienced the same thing. Thanks for any help anyone can offer. John

    I figured it out. It appeared that my simheaven scenery for LA caused the crash. I removed it and have not experienced the crash anymore. John

    I was flying today close to KLAX and xplane 10 crashed with this message: Unable to locate terrain definition terrain/g2xpl_8_17_22888_78296.ter (io_dsf.cpp:559) I am not sure how to correct this. Is this a scenery error with one of my airports? I am loading my log file in case that might help. Thanks for any help anyone can offer. John Log.txt

    Thanks - I am guessing you are not having any problems with 8.1 so I will upgrade from windows 7.
